A swinging window. To some, it might seem like an odd thing to start with, but to me, I never had noticed the small sounds that were all around me.

um

I feel awkward writing this in my journal, but I'm going to work on that.

I had never been able to relax enough to pay attention to these things to be able to enjoy them. It's like houses had different personalities that I never got to know before, different from the one I knew when I was younger, different from the high ceilings and the loud noises. the very loud noises!

Pow!! The door blows open. Taylor walks into my room and says, "Today is the day we have a lot to do." I'm still just sitting in my bed. Taylor continues, "Come on as she pulls me out of bed. She runs to her apartment just down the street and gets ready, later we both meet each other outside on the concrete, and I forget about what I was talking about earlier and just enjoy walking with Taylor. There's a bus that goes all around the city, but we would rather walk and talk.

But as we were walking out of nowhere, a car hit a pedestrian. We recognized this person as Blake, our friend Lisa's boyfriend.

Taylor and I both knew CPR and had basic medical training as it was part of our job, so we took care of him until an ambulance arrived, but Blake was not able to be revived. Taylor immediately texted Lisa and called her, though she didn't expect to get a response because she was usually is asleep at this time.

But today, we had no time for grieving. Taylor and I arrived at the museum we worked at to help our friend Emily set up a slumber party. Emily greets us in a great mood at the bottom of the stairs to the basement.

and says, "Great, you're here." I forgot to get streamers, so I'm going to head to the store. You guys work on unboxing the stuff under the tables and putting them where they're supposed to go, she says as she walks up the stairs.

Both Taylor and I felt disturbed about talking about what just happened earlier that morning.

So we didn't, and we just unloaded the boxes, but Taylor remembered that in the midst of all of the stress of the morning. We forgot to get a ladder with the streamers.

So we went by the rental place. And there was a rude person at the counter complaining to the employee about something. This reminded me of my past.

Before I was born, my mother and her family and my father had been a part of a team of space explorers, and on one of their trips, they almost died. Crossing dimensions To save their lives, the inhabitants there changed their DNA so that they have the DNA of both dimensions. allowing them to go from one to the other without problems, it also provided enhancements such as the ability to fly and a power specific to each person.

My parents told me that I could fly if I wanted to, but I've never tried it before, nor will I ever.

But when I was young, my mother went to a superhero work assignment but never returned My father, malcolmus, or Cole for short, took this very hard and began to drink to suppress one of his powers. The ability to send a shockwave (a side effect of his power) would automatically activate if he panicked.

This was frightening to him because when my older sister Ruby was a baby, one of the legs on a chair had gotten loose, and my father used a screwdriver from his hand (he could form any tool) and started to tighten it, but as he was tightening it, he noticed that Ruby had started to cry, so he formed his hand back and walked over to her to see what was going on and

She stopped crying, but when he began to work on tightening the screw again, she began to cry, so he said to her, "Don't worry, I'll be right there to pick you up." But when he looked back at her, a pink stream of lightning departed from her hands and was absorbing into his feet. He immediately formed his hand back, and the lightning stopped, and so did the crying. It was at that moment that he realized his power was leaching off of Ruby's power, and so he never used his power again.
