First person pov
In the final act of love's play, hearts shattered like fragile glass, and tears flowed like the rain. Yet, amidst the wreckage, the souls whispered an eternal echo-a lament for what could never be, forever etched in the chambers of their memories. As I stand amidst the debris of our past, I realize that the love I thought would last forever was nothing but fragile glass, shattered beyond repair.
Minsan, love can be your enemy. It brings you pain, heartache, and disappointment, pero hindi mo talaga mapipigilan ang damdamin kung mahal mo talaga ang isang tao. Just like me.
I felt betrayed, and at the same time, angry-galit ako sa sarili ko. Am I not worth it? Para gawin niya iyon sa akin? Or is it because he's tired of me? No, maybe he fell out of love. Maybe... he still wants her.
"For seven years... seven years tayong nagmamahalan! Pero bakit mo itinago sa akin ang lahat? You promised me before that I was the one you would marry. Pero ano? You chose her. You left me behind! May nararamdaman din ako- I... I got hurt. Y-you hurt me!" My voice trembled, fists clenched by my sides, trying to contain the storm raging inside me. The words broke free before I could stop them, each syllable sharp and trembling.
He looked away, guilt written all over his face. "I... I'm sorry."
"'Sorry?'" A bitter laugh escaped me, shaking my head. "That's all you can say? Diyan ka naman magaling, eh. All you do is hurt me, emotionally. Do you even know how tired I am? How exhausted I am, keeping this... relationshit together?"
He flinched at the word, but said nothing, his silence louder than any explanation.
Maybe that's the real answer-there's nothing more left to say. The love that once felt like a comforting embrace is now just a memory, a reminder that sometimes, the hardest part of moving on is letting go of what was never meant to be.
And now... now, it's just broken glass, too sharp to hold onto.
