TW: joe alwyn.

--

There are five stages of falling in love, the first being denial.

And that's exactly how Taylor had felt.

She looked at her expectant friend and shook her head. "Don't be ridiculous, Selena. I just met the poor guy."

Selena had pursed her lips. "Whatever you say."

An hour later, Taylor's thoughts were still focused on the weird conversation between her and her best friend. How could Selena really think she has fallen for a football player she has spoken to twice?

She makes it back to her mansion at two in the morning. Although exhausted, she still makes sure to take her time to wash off her makeup, undo her hair, and change into more comfortable clothes.

Taylor is about to go to sleep when she gets a knock on her front door. Very few people knew the code for her front gate, Joe being one of them. Her suspicions are confirmed when she swings the front door open and he stands there.

"Joe." She sighs in frustration.

He invites himself inside and shuts the door. Swiftly, he pins her against the wall causing her to yelp. "Joe stop!"

He moves his lips close to her ear. "Don't resist me Taylor." He whispers, sending shivers down her spine.

"Fuck, Joe. I'm done with you." She snaps. Taylor looks into those blue eyes that have broken her heart multiple times, and knows he's not here to play any games.

"Want to test that theory?" He asks, already pulling off her pants.

She snaps back to reality and shoves him off. "Get out of my house." Taylor says firmly. She slips her pants back on.

"If you insist." He holds up his hands defensively. "I was just here to have some fun."

"I'd rather sell my soul to the devil than fuck around with you again." She sneers.

"Whatever floats your boat, baby." Joe says seductively. He gets ready to leave, giving Taylor a long kiss against her will before heading out.

"Screw youself Joe!" Taylor yells at him. She slams the door as soon as he is outside and locks it. Not even a moment later, she runs to the window and watches Joe leave her property, secretly wishing he had stayed.

An hour later, she finds herself calling up his number.
