We were out of there in a smaller amount of time than I thought, Y/N just sort of went with it and followed me. I knew that she was scared and confused about every little bit of what was going on, but it was as if she trusted me just a little bit and didn't even know it. She was like a scared, lost puppy, she had no hope but was willing to do whatever if it meant something would change. I bet she wanted things to change. After all, her whole life was a bit of a mess, and she hadn't even known the whole truth. She had no idea who I was and who I worked for, or that I had killed her mother. Oh, how would I tell her?

As we exited the silent elevator which had stopped playing music since it was the middle of the night, Y/N lowered her head making it so Jeongin couldn't see her expression as we walked past him. Though, he was smiling at his phone again and didn't even notice us, so we were both fine anyway. At least, I think she was lowering her head so he wouldn't see her, she could have just been sad. It surprised me how well she was cooperating, this had been the easiest kidnapping I had ever done. I didn't even really have to hold her wrist that tight, she just went with it, which made this mission a whole lot easier. Except, the mission wasn't over yet. I still had to update her file and email it to Lee Know, take her to my home, tell Hyunjin about Y/N. Wait, Hyunjin! He was probably still passed out on the couch at home. Ugh, whatever. He'd be fine. He would probably wake up and remember nothing from what he had done in the past day. Then he would probably text me and ask where I was, then I would have to tell him everything. So, I had some things to do. But it would be fine. My first priority was to get Y/N home.

She followed me out of the building, half awake and not really caring about everything. Though, she seemed lost in thought at the same time. Something was on her mind and I could tell. Did something happen when I was killing Miss Lee? Or maybe she was just tired and didn't want to cause any trouble, which was not usual for the victims.

I made sure she got in the passenger seat, just so I could keep an eye on her, then got in the driver's seat and started driving, making sure to lock the doors. Though, I doubted she would try to escape, she looked like she hadn't slept in days. As I glanced at her every once in a while during the drive, her head was always leaning to the side and her eyes closing, but she kept making sure she didn't fall asleep. It was cute to watch, and I even caught myself smiling when she finally gave herself a break and fell asleep. Her head was leaning against the head rest, breathing slow and calm, and just overall still and quiet. I didn't stop myself from smiling just because she was asleep and I didn't want to bother her rest. It seemed rude to wake her up because she needed the rest and it was probably going to be easier for me anyway. She wouldn't make a fuss or anything, she would just sleep. Then again, I also needed the rest and her being quiet while I slept would be a miracle. This was so easy, everything hadn't gone according to plan, but that was a good thing!

Soon, we arrived at my home, which was a little ways away from the station. The station wasn't in sight, but that was because we were in the forest surrounded by trees. Most of the Mafia members lived in houses in the forest because it was quieter and less attention-grabbing. I liked my house just because it was much quieter than it was in the city. No cars passing by, no sirens, no yelling, just nature.

My house was modern, black and cream-white, big windows, a couple bedrooms, a balcony. It was nice. We were parked outside and all I had to do was get Y/N inside. No problem. I got out of the car and walked over to her side where I opened the door and just picked her up. Effortless. Easiest mission I had ever done, but probably the most important. She was cold, but it wasn't surprising considering that she was only wearing a thin, oversized T-shirt and sweatpants. I needed to get her inside to warm her up, or else she could have woken up.

I looked up at the sky for brief moment and noticed that a storm was approaching us quickly. It looked like it would last at least until the morning from where I was standing, but it wasn't good however long it would last. So, I quickly walked to the front door and unlocked it. The windows were letting in enough light which was a good thing because I didn't want to have to turn a light on and wake Y/N up. I looked down at her and saw that she was slightly shivering, so I took mine and her shoes off and walked up the staircase to the guest bedroom. It was right next to mine which was a good thing because it would be easier to check up on her.

Laying her down in bed, I noticed her phone sliding out of her pocket. She must have grabbed it before we left. I had to take it just in case she thought about calling for help, so I made sure she was comfortable, then took her phone and left the room. But before I went to bed, I made sure to lock all the doors in the house just to be sure. Then, I went to my room and just stared out the window for a moment, thinking...

At least I was finally doing something good, caring for someone. It made me feel better to know that I wasn't still the cold hearted person I used to be. Which was weird because that was all I had ever been, until I found someone to love. Thinking about Y/N got me worried, what if she ended up not having feelings for me? Wow, I was desperate. I wanted someone, and Y/N was probably my only chance to get someone, but it was her choice too. If she didn't like me or found me too scary and dangerous because I was a Mafia, then I would just have to keep looking. Being a member of the Mafia was hard, but it was who I was and I couldn't change that.

I was a little depressed in high school and couldn't seem to find what was best for me, then I found Lee Know and he told me about himself and what he did. It was interesting to me and Lee Know seemed a little bit like me, so I started training and eventually became a Mafia member. My life changed, in good ways and bad ways, and it was like that ever since. Y/N could change all of that, which was probably why I was drawn to her, but it would take some time if she was going to trust me. Hyunjin was probably the only person in my life that actually trusted me, but he kind of had to if we were going to be each other's partner.

For a moment I contemplated going back to mine and Hyunjin's dorm just to check on him, but I also had to keep an eye on Y/N which was more important, so I stayed put.

I checked on Y/N one last time just to settle my nerves, and kissed her on the forehead before I left. As I went back to my room, I could hear the slight sound of rain outside. The night was perfect, rain at night was one of the things that could actually put me to sleep. I yawned, then got ready for bed and fell asleep quickly that night. It was one of the best sleeps I had ever gotten, and plus, I didn't even really have work the next day. All I had to do was complete the file.

Silence, the one thing that brought me peace.

Finally...
