" You ready!? " Lucy exclaimed, standing next to me. I could tell she was jumping, I didn't have to look.

I sighed and looked down at the paper, " Ready as I'll ever be. " I replied and flipped the paper over.

I saw Lucy close her eyes out of the corner of my eye, I knew she didn't wanna read it herself.

I read through the names, hoping to see ours.

And then, they we were.

" We made it! Both of us! " I yelled out, looking at Lucy.

Her eyes snapped open, and she looked at paper, double checking.

" Oh my god! We did it! We made colorgaurd!! " She squealed, causing me to giggle a bit.

My eyes snapped down to search for another name, and I found it. I smiled at the name.

" Alexis made it as well, " I stated, pointing to her name.

Lucy nudged my elbow, and I rolled my eyes, smiling. We put the paper back down and walked away.

We walked into the gym, seeing our friends.

" Well? " Mia asked, scooting towards us.

" We're gonna be in colorgaurd for another year! " I said, smiling.

Everyone got really happy, and I smiled. I didn't stop smiling that morning, well, until the guys showed up.

" Lucy, why do you keep looking at Zac? You do like him! I knew it! " Gavin shouted, I looked at Lucy, knowing she hadn't looked Zacs direction once.

Lucy just sighed and turned to Adalynn and I.

" I'm just gonna ignore them. Once I stop reacting, they'll get tired of it. Unless Zac keeps up his stupid act. " She rolled her eyes.

" Whyd you say Zacs name, you talking about how much you love him? " I heard Daniel remark.

I rolled my eyes and looked at him.

" Can ya'll leave her alone? She doesn't like him! End of story, god damn. " I said.

" Oh, don't act so innocent, Kylie. we know you still like Jackson. " Gavin snapped back.

" Why would I break up with him if I still like him? " I asked.

Gavin shrugged and turned away.

Jackson looked at Gavin and looked at me, hope in his eyes. He didn't seriously believe Gavin, did he? Pathetic.

I sighed, knowing he believed Gavin. I could see it in his eyes. God, I wish there was a way out of this.
