I walked through the hallways of the high school alone. All my friends either had lunch or were in the other building.

I heard footsteps behind me, so I looked. I sighed as I saw Jackson fastly walk towards me.

" Kylie, can we talk? " He said as he caught up to me.

I scoffed and looked at him, slightly nodding.

" I love you, Kylie. " He said out of nowhere.

" Im sorry, Jackson, but I love her. "

" But Im your boyfriend! "

" Correction, you used to be my boyfriend. Not anymore, and for good reasons. " I responded, coldly walking away.

I entered the gym, looking around for Alexis. We had P.E. together, and because of it, we had grown close.

She's the only person in there that I know, and Im the only person in there she knows.

I smiled as I spotted her and quickly walked over.

" Hey Alexis, " I said, slightly smiling. Not as much as usual because of the interaction in the hallway, but I was sure she wouldn't notice.

" Hey Kylie! What's wrong? You're usually smiling a lot more, " She asked, sounding genuinely concerned. I was a little shocked at first.

" Oh well, my ex just stopped me in the hallway, and we had a very unpleasant talk. " I half-heartedly smiled.

She gave me an apologetic look and pulled me into a bug hug. My heart started beating so fast and hard as I hugged her back, I was sure she would notice.

She pulled back and looked me in my eyes with her beautiful eyes. I swear I was gonna faint.

" Do you and Lucy wanna come to my party tonight? " She asked.

" Yeah, I do for sure! I can ask Lucy, but Im sure she will! " I replied warmly.

She smiled big, then continued, " Ok! Ill send you the information through instagram, ok? "

I nodded, my stomach filling with butterflies.

God, Im so excited!
