SYNOPSIS

Nia Salazar has always kept her distance from the complicated world of the Beaufort family, especially after what had happened. She avoids the entanglements and drama that come with knowing James Beaufort, the boy who she once loved.

However, when Nia learns that her best friend, Ruby unintentionally discovered a secret that involved a Beaufort, she steps up to protect Ruby from getting hurt.

With her intervention, she has crossed paths with James far more frequently than she would like. But to her surprise, their interactions rekindle the remnants of their past she could've sworn were buried deep within her.

But what she hadn't expected was for Ruby to also grown fond of the boy that she still loved.

Caught between her lingering feelings for James and wanting to protect Ruby, Nia decides that the best thing to do is swallow her feelings and step aside so her friend could be happy.

But the ice in her heart she felt toward James is melting and there is only so much she could do before old sparks fly and a fire reignites.
