THE CENTRE BUZZED WITH THE PREPARATIONS. The Head doctor, Dr Soo Na Yeon, walked towards your cabin before placing a folder on your desk. She smiled warmly at you, wearing a white-button up polo and black slacks with her doctor coat and sesthescope on top, the emblem of KHPTO, Korean Hybrid Protection and Training Centre, with it's Latin motto, et qui vivunt amandus est, meaning, They who live must be loved.
This training centre was found when you had just graduated from college with a degree in Vetenarian Science and Bs.C Psychology. While the course had been a challenge, it was useful since Hybrids were half-humans and half-animals. You had remembered that while you were studying, you had been shocked of the sudden relevation that humans had found hybrids, like centaurs from the astronomy, hybrids of all kinds, immediately, the bad and cruel humans subjected them under their power, making them do slave work. That was when the Korean Government unleashed a strict rule, to stop the cruelty and put on a law on that as well, but since it did not work, since none or most of the hybrids did not know what to do in order to retaliate or how to be independant on their own without their animalistic greed was how KPHTO came into existence.
But now, after 12 years of existence of this training centre, you had watched two hybrids that had been under your care finally leave after their six-year-plan. In these six years, they would go through all the training possible to take care of themselves, specially their heat, and menustral cycles, food, security and consent. Subjected to almost real-life situations, they would understand how the real world works.
KPHTO did not allow its workers to go outside the lab to the real world. Being in one of the closed off and inside a literal jungle, The entire mountain had been cultivated meticulously to form a Humoungous training centre with habitat specialities. The workers (the only human workers there were You, Dr Kang ___, Dr Kim Seok Jin, and Dr Soo Na Yeon) would stay in the in-house residence itself. it had been 12 years since you last saw your mom, who slapped you when you chose this decision. Hearing about the isolation (which you as an introvert loved..) you had to go through, she immediately broke into tears, you snuck out of house the other day, but she found you, slapped you and then left herself. You haven't been home since then. But it's not like KPHTO is a boring, white coloured lab, no. It has a zoo, playground, in-built restuarants with five-star-food, and almost every part of the lab is in light, preppy theme colours, there's one part of the lab with darker, more cooler colours for easy transportation of medicine and so on.
Only if you knew, your life would turn upside down just like that.
