Teun's voice echoed through the studio, the mic amplifying his words. "Dude, chill" he repeated, concern creeping into his tone. Joost, still riled up, rolled his eyes behind his sunglasses and flipped his middle finger, aware that Teun wouldn't see his face but hoping to convey his annoyance nonetheless.

"Shove that finger up your ass" His friend laughed.

"I'll be shoving this one up yours" the blond replied, raising his other middle finger.

"Let's take a break and order something to eat. I'm starving. We'll get back to the recording later" Teun suggested. Joost nodded in agreement, removing his headphones and opening the door. It had been a long week, and Joost hadn't been himself at all. He had put on a good act in front of everyone, until earlier

Teun knew Joost was usually full of energy when recording, you can't even make him stop, but today he seemed more troubled than usual. And he could've guessed it why

"So about the situation with Gianna..." the brunette started but before he could finish, Joost interrupted by putting his hand up, shushing him.

"Can we not talk about that" Joost replied firmly. With a shake of his head, he focused his gaze on the computer screen, clicking through random files, clearly trying to take the conversation in a different direction.

"And what do you wanna talk about?" Teun replied leaning back in his chair, crossing his arms. "How Daan is leaving the water running all day or the fact that you haven't been yourself since fucking january" he added under his breath, clearly not giving up on the subject

"That fucker is the one leaving the water running? That son of a bitch"

Teun gave a firm smack on the back of Joosts' head, causing the latter to respond with a curse. "That's all you picked up from my explanation?"

Joost winced in response  "I almost broke my fucking arm when I slipped in the bathroom the other day, so yeah that's what's bothering me!" he retorted a scowl on his face.

The older guy, his frustration evident, let out a weary sigh "Man Im being serious, you two were so happy, why did you ruin it"

Ruin it...

Those words had become the soundtrack to Joost's days, following him from the moment he opened his eyes until the moment he closed them in slumber. He had a thing for screwing things up, no doubt about it. He'd destroyed the beautiful relationship they had, leaving both of their lives in shambles. It was his own fault, a pattern of behavior that he couldn't seem to break.  He'd not only hurt himself but also the woman he loves.

But he knew it was necessary, not just for him but for her as well. Perhaps in time, she would understand and find it in her heart to forgive him. With a deep breath, he pushed aside the lingering doubts and chose to move forward with hope and determination. Maybe, just maybe, there was a chance for redemption in the future.

Joost couldn't bear to look at his friend, his gaze fixated on the computer screen in front of him as tears began to well up in his eyes. He clenched his fists, determined to maintain his composure and not let his emotions get the better of him.

He took a deep breath and walked into the recording studio, his emotions boiling over as he reached the microphone. Without restraint, he started screaming. Teun just stood there, his expression a mixture of boredom and resignation, having witnessed this performance countless times before.

As Joost's outburst finally died down, Teun clicked on the microphone button, a hint of humor in his voice as he asked, "Are you done now, you fucking drama queen?"

Joost's smirk widened, stretching from ear to ear as he raised his thumb in approval. "Put that in the song"

Kees, the founder of the label, entered the studio with a smile, looking around at the two men. He cleared his throat and announced, "There will be a meeting in an hour, be there. We have a new artist signing with our label."
