You were trying to pickpocket some lootbags since you needed cash to actually get food that wasn't already half-eaten or expired; although, you were struggling to stay awake long enough to even leave before they noticed you. You haven't slept in about a week since you kept having the same damn nightmare over and over and over again, it was honestly tiring. You decided to just sit in an alleyway as you tried so hard just to stay awake when pebble appeared next to you, wasting no time in giving you a hug and a kiss on the cheek.

"Darling! I've missed youuuu where have you been?" Pebble was as energetic as ever, you were honestly a bit envious of how he always somehow had energy.

Pebble seemed to notice how tired you were before you could even respond, immediately getting concerned as he practically grabbed your face to get a closer look. "Oh my stars why are you so tired!?" You were a bit surprised by how he just grabbed you as you gently grabbed his wrists and groaned tiredly, his energy was honestly too much right now.

"I'm fine, it's nothing." You seemed a bit annoyed as you removed his hands from you, but Pebble refused to take that for an answer since you were obviously in need of sleep, so he did what any logical person would do.

Pebble picked you up and walked to a somewhat cleaner alleyway and stole some blankets and pillows to create a makeshift bed for you, which you tried to leave since there was no way in hell you were about to have that nightmare again but Pebble just appeared infront of you, looking concerned as he kneeled down to make eye contact since you were literally crawling.

"What's wrong, sweetie? Why won't you sleep?" Pebbles voice was soft and quiet as he had a look of pure worry on his face. You were honestly hesitant to tell him since normally he wouldn't leave you alone if you told him you had something as little as a bad day.

You just sighed as you knew there was no way he'd leave you be about it unless you just told him. "Well, other than the fact the same fuckin nightmare has been bothering me, it's nothing." You sat up as you crossed your arms, unable to bring yourself to make eye contact with Pebble as he gently pushed your head so you were looking at him.

Pebble didn't say anything else as he picked you up and lied down on the makeshift bed with you in his arms, his voice gentle and quiet as he gave you a small kiss. "Well, I'll be here to keep the nightmares away" you almost chuckled a bit as you just wrapped your arms around him, getting comfortable since Pebble was stubborn enough to force you to sleep.

It didn't take long before you felt your eyelids getting heavier by the second, closing your eyes and soon falling asleep as Pebble gently kissed your forehead, smiling a bit as he whispered gently.

"I love you, rest well"
