Chapter 9 - The Final Chapter

Ghost went to a hotel a few miles away. He parked and took his suitcase in. Opened the door, walked in and asked the doorman. "Hello, I was wondering if you have a room available for a day or two?"

The guy spoke "Yes, We do. Up on the 3rd floor... um door number 12. Hope you enjoy your stay."

Ghost smiled "Thank you. Have a great night." Ghost grabbed his luggage and went to the elevator. He found the room and opened it with the key.  He checked his phone to see if there were any messages. He put his suit cases next to the bed and dropped himself on the bed and closed his eyes.

Jimmy spoke "Hey. Why did you leave Toast's place?"

Ghost sighed "He doesn't want to talk to me right now. He is upset that we got arrested."

Jimmy said "Oh... I'm sorry.. I think or guess. I did bring you both into this mess. Mainly you... well because we are in the same body. Plus Toast can't stay mad at you forever? Right? He is your best friend after all... but what do I know about friendship.."

Ghost said "Yeah. I'm going to be staying here over night. To give him some space, I think it's about time I buy my own apartment.."

Jimmy said "Well... I don't know who to respond to that.. but, won't stay upset at you/me for long."

Ghost sighed "I know. He just needs time to adjust to the situation. A lot has happened over the past few weeks. It is sometimes hard for him to get used to something. I'm not mad at him I just.. I want to give him some space."

Jimmy said "Yeah.. that's a good idea."

Ghost got out of the bed and got his phone and called a number for some pizza. "Hello, I was wondering if I could order one medium sized all meat pizza?"

The man said "Yes sir of course. Were are you located?"

Ghost thought for a second "I am at the Motel 7, room number twelve on the 3rd floor. How much will it be?"

The man spoke "The total is $7.98. Thank you for order. It should be there for you in 10-15 minutes."

Ghost hung up and put his phone in his pocket. He got his 2DS out of his bag and played Super Mario Bros 3 to pass time.

Meanwhile Toast was in the living room watching the BBC News Channel watching Doctor Who with the 11th doctor in it. He was eating some buttered flavored popcorn. He was bored and didn't know what to do. Ghost would go on give Toast a speech on how time traveling is so fun and then bring back the memories of what they did. Toast said to himself "I think I should call him... no he is probably mad at me for my behavior.. I'll just call him tomorrow morning." Toast checked his phone but there were no messages. He got up and made himself a chicken salad sandwich. Then sat back down to watch TV. He checked his phone on the news and there was a article about what happened today.

It read "The London Police wrongly accused a American and a British citizen of being Jimmy Caskett and a side kick. The suspects Johnny Ghost was wrongly accused because he looked exactly similar to the mass murderer. They were freed at 11:00 this morning. The murderer is still out there... where could he be now?"

Toast smirked and locked his phone. "Well then we on a news article. I guess that is good for business. I just hope people don't come up to the apartment asking questions. That would be just plain creepy." He took a bite of his sandwich "Well, I just hope Johnny know what he is doing."

Ghost heard a knock on the door. He looked through the peep hole and it was the pizza girl. He opened the door "Hello. You're the pizza girl. I remember you. Your the girl that Toast was flirting with."

Brandi blushed "Yes. Is he here?"

Ghost sighed "No, just me he is out on the job right now. I lost the keys to the apartment and checked into a hotel."

Brandi said "Oh okay. Tell him I said hi. Anyway here is your medium all-meat pizza. The total is $7.98."

Ghost got his wallet and gave her ten bucks. "Here you go and just keep the change."

Brandi said "Oh um.. thank you and here is your pizza." she handed Ghost the pizza "Thank, and have a great night Mr. Ghost." she walked away as Ghost closed the door.

He put the pizza on the counter/kitchen area and got a paper plate. "Why do all the girls like Toast? Oh well... I guess he is a fan favorite." He put two slices of pizza and sat on the bed. Turned on the TV and flipped through the channels. He fell asleep with the plate on the bed and the TV was still on.

The next morning Ghost woke up with pizza sauce on his white T-Shirt. "Oh... not again. Well I guess I am going to have to but another one again." He takes off is shirt showing his muscles. He opened his luggage to put a shirt on. He grabbed a Batman shirt and put it on.

Jimmy spoke "Well good morning Johnny. How did you sleep last night?"

Ghost responded "I slept good. Just that I fell asleep last night while eating pizza. I had some pizza sauce on my white shirt."

Jimmy said "Oh, that's nice. I'm glad that you slept good."

Ghost asked "Why?"

Jimmy sighed "I just want to ask... that's all . You no... I'm not a mean, horrible person all the time."

Ghost said "Hmm... okay. Well I'm going to pack my things up so I can go check on Toast alright?" Jimmy didn't say anything. Ghost started to put all his cloths that were dirty in a trash bag and threw it in his luggage. Putting his jacket on while looking for his "man-purse". After he found it, he gathered everything else and went to check out of the hotel.

He walked outside and out everything he had in the car. Ghost drove off to Toast's apartment . As he arrived, he sat in the car and sighed. He got out of the car and approached the front door and knocked.

Toast yelled "Coming. Just give me a second." A few seconds later he opened. "Hello sir! Thank god your back. Please come in."

Ghost said "Alright. It's nice to see you again."

Toast smiled "I'm sorry for being rude yesterday in the car. I was just scared that we got caught. I thought it was the end. Plus... I really don't like cops. Not a big fan of them. I got a call late lost night for a job in New York. Prince Fang is there and Maxwell is somehow tied into it. According to the news they are messing with children."

Ghost said "Toast. Your my best friend, we can't be mad at each other. I know it's hard for you to know that there is a murderer in my head and your still trying to get used to it."

Toast agreed "Yeah but we both can go thru it together. Right?"

Ghost nodded "Yes. Johnny Toast!"

Toast hugged Ghost and said "Just remember bud, we are all in this together."

Ghost said "You got it... So we are going to New York?"

Toast said "Yes we are. Let's go pack!"
