Destiny felt bad for missing the guys' first-ever photo shoot. She was mostly hanging out with Dak when he was recording at the studio, but that was just an excuse. Destiny would have asked Dak if she could leave to meet up with Big Time Rush if it wasn't for the fact that she would have to be around James. She's been avoiding him since he accidentally kissed her back at the mansion.
Normally, she would have ignored it and pretended nothing happened but when he kissed her, even if it was a peck, she felt her stomach flutter. Destiny has tried to ignore the feeling but her heart would swell up whenever she thought about it and she absolutely hates it. Why? To her, it felt right.
That small peck made a huge difference. When she and Kendall kissed, it was for the good of the band so no one would get kicked out. She didn't feel anything for Kendall- both agreed to never kiss again because it was weird and awkward. With James it felt so different. If someone were to ask Destiny how she felt when it happened, then she would have descibed it how Prince Charming would have in the third Cinderella - there was a spark.
A good kind of spark.
Of course she told Jo and Camille. Camille, in her witch costume for an upcoming audition, squealed while pulling Destiny for a side hug. She kept rambling on and on how she and Jo knew Destiny would fall for James, all it took was a matter of time.
"I'm not falling for him," Destiny groaned. "We've only known each other for like a month."
"I liked Logan when he first arrived," Camille pointed out.
"That's different. Logan's smart and a-dork-able. James is self centered, egotastical, who likes to flirt with every pretty girl." Destiny looked at the script Camille gave her when she asked to help her with her lines. A faint smile slowly crept up to her face. "But he's also funny, a good friend, charming when he wants to be..." When she looked at Camille, she had a known smirk on her face while nodding her head in a way that told Destiny that she just proved her point. "Oh, Bucky Barnes, what I doing?"
Camille grinned. "You basically admitted that you like James."
"I DON'T LIKE HIM!" Destiny quickly covered her mouth because her shouted the same way Gustavo does. "I'm probably just spending too much time with him. So my brain thinks I have a crush on him."
"Or you could just tell James how you feel. You two can start dating then maybe double date with me and Logan."
"Nah, I like my idea of avoiding him until this feeling goes away. Ugh, why couldn't I have liked Carlos instead? Is the universe trying to give me a sign or something?"
The girls arrived at the Palm Woods lobby where James was posing in the middle of it. Destiny froze in place as her heart sped up. Camille chuckled. "That's one huge sign."
"Coincidence." They walked closer to James. Destiny yanked Camille over to whisper, "If you say anything about this, you're dead."
"Oooh, maybe you should audition with me. I got literal goosebumps." Camille held her arm up to show the small bumps on her arm. When they stopped in front of James she asked, "Hey, what are you thinking about?"
"Oh, I'm not thinking," James said with a grin. "I'm acting like I'm thinking."
"So you've just staring off into space then?" Destiny asked, soundind a bit harsh than needed.
"No, I've been day dreaming about my future." He sent her a charming grin. "Which includes me and you."
"Wow, how many girls have you said that to?" Destiny mentally scolded herself for sounding so harsh. She shook her head while holding her hand up when James was about to speak. "Never mind. Forget I ask." Camille saw the hurt flash behind James's eyes while Destiny crossed her arms. "What are you doing here, James? I thought Gustavo gave you guys the day off."
