Chapter 2: The Birth of a New member of the Bloodline and The Prestigious Invitation
"Hah, hah, hah," the long white-haired man panted as he used the last of his strength to complete the ritual. His hands trembled, slick with his own blood, as he traced the final symbols on the cold stone floor. He was close to finishing it at last, but the relentless pounding on the door reminded him that his time was running out. The enemies had reached the door he had securely locked, and it wouldn't hold much longer.
"Fuck you, Fuck you, Fuckkkk!" cursed the long, white-haired man as he drew a large, intricate circle with his blood around the room. This room had once been his office, a place of knowledge and power, a sanctuary of purity and magic. But now, the walls were adorned with dark sigils, and the air was thick with the stench of sorcery and unspeakable sacrifices. The sacred space was defiled and transformed into a battlefield for his last stand.
The door shuddered under the force of the enemies’ assault. Splinters flew as it began to crack and give way. He could hear their voices, shouting commands and urging each other on. They were so close.
"I will have my revenge. I will have my revenge. I will have my revenge. Fuck you all, Fuck everyone involved; I will avenge my beloved wife and children; I will destroy you all!!!!!!!" the long white-haired man bellowed, his voice echoing off the walls like the roar of a caged beast. His eyes burned with a madness fueled by grief and fury. He looked like one of those evil sorcerers from the movies, but this was no fiction. This was his reality.
He took a deep breath, steadying himself as he began the final incantation. His voice rose and fell in a rhythmic chant, ancient words of power that resonated with the very essence of the universe. As he chanted, the blood circle began to glow, and an eerie light filled the room, casting long, grotesque shadows.
The door burst open with a deafening crash, and armed men poured into the room. Their eyes widened in horror at the sight before them, but they did not hesitate. They knew their mission. They knew they had to stop him at any cost.
But it was too late. With a final, triumphant cry, the long, white-haired man completed the ritual. The room exploded with light, and the men screamed as they were engulfed in a wave of dark energy. The sorcerer fell to his knees, a satisfied smile on his lips as he succumbed to exhaustion. He had done it. His vengeance was set in motion.
_____________
"Huh?" The young boy with white hair opened his eyes very slowly, fearing the pain that would follow him. His vision was blurry, but as it cleared, he saw the concerned face of Rick, the driver, sitting on a chair next to his bed.
"Huh? Didn't I die?" Lincoln muttered, his voice barely a whisper.
"No, but you were close to death," Rick replied, his voice calm but laced with relief. He had been sitting vigil by Lincoln's bedside, watching over him as he fought for his life.
Lincoln's eyes roamed around the room, taking in the luxurious surroundings. It was a room fit for royalty, with opulent furnishings and rich tapestries. The bed he lay on was the softest he had ever felt, a stark contrast to the rugged simplicity of his own bed at home.
"Hah, hah, hah." Lincoln began breathing rapidly; his mind was flooded with memories of what had happened. The terror, the pain, and the overwhelming sense of helplessness. He felt as if he had stared death in the face and somehow managed to escape its grasp.
"Young master, congratulations on passing the test. You are now eligible to join the family," Rick said, a proud smile on his face.
"Join the family! What family? I am Lincoln Loud; I belong to the Loud family only," Lincoln retorted, confusion and anger mixing in his voice. He tried to sit up, but the effort made his head spin.
