There you were, the museum looking over the speech you had written for Marmalade. You looked up from the papers and watched as the decorations and tables were all set up, you walked out of the building, finding Marmalade talking to what looked like the police chief and a fox? The pig looked back and noticed you, waving you over. "Ash! Ash! Come on over!" You walked over, your long sparkly black dress following behind. You held the papers to your chest, trying to somewhat hide yourself as you slowly stalked over to the group.

"Ash! Meet Governor Diane Foxington and the police chief, Misty Luggins! You two meet my new assistant, Ash Tazz, they just recently moved from Tasmania!" Marmalade gestured to all of you as you gave a small smile and wave. The police chief looked at you with a glare, keeping her guard up while Diane walked up to you holding her hands out. "Ash, welcome to America. The professor has told me many good things about you and it's so nice to finally meet you!"

She smiled at you. Her voice was strong yet soothing, seeming to calm your nerves just a bit. You placed one of your hands in her's, shaking it as she rubbed your knuckles, easing you more. "It's nice to meet'cha to ma'am, I've heard much good of you." You spoke out, voice louder than you wanted. Then the police chief walked over to you, eyeing you as if she were inspecting you. "So, a Tasmanian devil huh? Aren't you little guys known to harm people or something? Can't you chew through bone?" She towered over you, asking you questions that made you think...People really think of us like that?

"Um...heh...no, we live on an island where there aren't many people, and even when we are around them, we tend to leave them alone..." You stuttered, scared for her reaction,"And ye, I can chew through bone, but it's not like we do it just for fun, it's how we get to the marrow inside, that's kinda what we eat." You slowly backed away, keeping yourself small, hiding your slight anger growing for her, assuming things just because of what you are.(Reminds you of someone else huh?) She glared at you once more before grunting and walking inside to go over her plan with her team for the 50th time tonight.

~Time skip~

People start crowding in, you stay with Diane, finding comfort in her presence. You were warming up to the company, laughing along with the conversation, when someone walked up, talking to Diane. You looked over, seeing her walking away and panic set in but you tried not to show it, so instead you walked back over to her before she put a hand on your shoulder. "How about you go inside, check and make sure everything is good by the stage? Hm?" She gives you a reassuring smile as she walks off, you slowly nod and head inside.

You walk up to the stage, making sure everything is in place, you scan around finding Marmalade at his personal table for the two of you and walk over. "Why hello Ash! How are you enjoying things!" He asks, cheerful as ever. "It's alright, a lot more crowded than I expected though.." You glance around the room before looking back at him. He nods and pats the seat next to him. As you two are conversing, a scream is heard near you two.

"I'M HAVING A BABY! IS THERE A DOCTOR, OR PERHAPS SEVERAL GUARDS WHO CAN LEAVE THEIR POSTS, AND HELP ME!!" A woman screams out for help, 3 guards rush over to help. You looked over confused, hearing the voice, it didn't sound like a woman, more like a man trying to be a woman(No hate to trans folk btw). You were confused but let it go. Then Diane walked up the stage and the speeches were put into play.

~Time skip to after the speeches cuz I'm lazy~

"Now, without further ado, I present...The Golden Dolphin!" The curtain lifts and guns and lasers are seen...but no Dolphin. Marmalade runs up to say something to calm everyone down, until a scream was heard. "MR.WOLF! IT'S THE BAD GUYS!" Screams erupt in the crowd as the Police chief and her team surround them. You've never heard of 'the bad guys, the team consisted of a wolf, snake, piranha, shark, and tarantula. You walk up in confusion but let it play out to see what happens. "They stole the Golden Dolphin!" Someone yells. "Come on you can't prove that" Wolf states as the dolphin falls out of the sharks dress. "MY BABY!"

The chief walks closer, warning them before the snake yells. "NEVER! we're out of here!" The wolf shoots a grappling hook up though the glass ceiling and just as they were gonna fly up, his pants snag and get ripped off. "Well this is awkward.." the chief runs up and grabs the wolf pulling him out, you follow behind all the officers, meeting up with Diane and Marmalade. Wolf walks up to Diane and starts talking, trying to get himself out of trouble.

"Sorry to interrupt. I just wanted to congratulate the governor here. I got to say, you really got us pegged. We're just a deep well of anger and self-loathing." Diane interrupts, adding onto Wolf's comments. "Denial?" "Sure that too." "Narcissism?" "Yeah yeah.." "Emotional emptiness?" "So we're on the same page?" They go back and forth, Diane taking two steps with every word. " Sadly, we were never given a chance to be anything more than second-rate criminals. If only there was someone who could help the flower of goodness inside us blossom. Some icons of love and forgiveness, like, uh, I don't know, Mother Teresa. Best thing is to just throw us in jail for the rest of our hopeless lives."

Then Misty grabs him and tries to push him back to the van "Yep! That's the plan!" Suddenly Marmalade steps up, raising a hand, you just behind him. "Wait!" Misty stops in her tracks as Wolf pulls out of her grasp. "Uh beg...beg your pardon?" "Mr. Wolf may be a savage beast. Basically walking garbage...Sorry, I'm making a point." "Do what you need to do pal." "But how can we say they're hopeless if they've never been given a chance? What if... what if we tried a little experiment, Diane? As you know, my Gala for Goodness, the "hashtag charity event of the year," is coming up. If I can prove to everyone at that gala that the Bad Guys have changed, will you set them free and give them a clean start?" He states as he starts walking down the stairs, waving for me to follow.

Misty steps up, grabbing the wolf's cuffs again, trying to get to Marmalade. "No, no, no, no, no. Don't you see what he's doing? He's playing you." "But it was my idea?" He looks between you and the chief. "It was his idea" Wolf butts in and the Chief pulls him back, looking desperately at Diane. "But only because you made him have it. Madam Governor, you can't just let them go." Diane looks at you and Marmalade, huffing in a questioning tone. "Professor, I'm not about to put the safety of the city on the line for an experiment." Then once again wolf butts in "Excuse me, Madam Governor. I seem to remember that a wise person once said, 'Even trash can be recycled into something beautiful.'"

Diane smirked at Wolf and nodded, "Okay. I'm game. But only because it's you, Professor. And of course you too Ash." She smiled at you, you smiled back, happy to be a part of this. And once the Dolphin was decided to remain in the hands of Diane for the remainder of this experiment, Wolf walked off handing Misty his cuffs. She looks at him in disbelief as your eyes follow him to the van, scanning over the rest of the group. You look at them all, almost analyzing them, trying to see why everyone was so scared of them. In your opinion they all looked fairly kind. You decided you'd ask Diane at some point and instead follow Marmalade to his limo, helping him plan ways to change these dastardly bad guys.

Finally, the second chapter of this book is finished. I used some of the script for this, while trying my best to keep it mainly in your perspective. I will try my best to also get you to be talking more, during the 'training' for good, you will talk more to the group and be a lot more involved in everything. Also, I'm from the US, so if anyone is from Australia and could teach me some slang I could use in this story, that would be helpful! :)
