Part 3- Meeting Again

5:30: Kukui house

The sun starts to rise up and shines its light in the beach house. The light creeps into the windows of Lei's bedroom, waking him up. The young boy yawns before slipping off of his bed which was filled with Pokémon plushies, his favorite, a shiny Rowlet plush, being pulled out of the bed with him. This was how most days started. Despite loving sleep as much as his older brother, Lei was always the first one to get up in the mornings. Usually he went to his parents' room to get one of them to help him with breakfast for himself and the Pokémon and then turn on the TV. Then he'd wait until they were up and then he'd either go to the Pokémon school with his dad or Aether Paradise with his mom. Sometimes, for small periods, he'd be left with the Pokémon if that was the last option. As he walks to his parents's bedroom, Rotom appears.

Rotom: Bleep! Good morning Lei!

Lei: Oh, hi Roty... I go get mommy or daddy for breaky...

Rotom: Well Ash is already up. You could just ask him.

Lei: Oh yeah!

He had almost forgotten that Ash had come the day before and walked out to the kitchen to look for him. He only sees, Melmetal, Rowlet, Incenerroar, Muchlax and Lycanrock sleeping.

Lei: Where is he?

Rotom: He's outside on the beach.

Lei opens up the door and looks up from the patio and sees Ash and Pikachu on the beach, watching the sunset. Ash was still in his pjs too, a blue T-shirt and sweatpants with no shoes or socks. His Pokemon partner was closer to the shore, letting the cold morning water hit his paws. Lei walks down the steps of the house, Rowlet plush still in hand, then downs down to where Ash was standing.

Lei: Hey Ash!

Ash: Oh, hey Lei! Why are you up so early.

Lei: I'm always up now. Why are you up?

Ash: Waiting for someone.

Lei: Who?

Ash: Someone special.

As he said that a loud roar engulfs the sky and a large flash of light comes down and lands on the beach sending aftershocks in every direction. Lei almost falls back.

Pikachu: Pika Pikachu! [ There you are!]

Ash: Huh, I guess you two have never met...

Lei: Whoa...

The Sun Pokémon stood majestically as the bright star rose up from behind the waters.

Ash: Lei meet Solgaleo. A dear friend of mine.

Lei: Wow! So cool!

Ash: Hey Solgaleo! It's been a while!

The large Pokemon let out a happy growl and nuzzled his face into Ash's chest. Its tail wagging wildly. The boy laughs and rubs the large lion Pokémon's snout. Pikachu hopped onto his trainer's shoulders and nuzzled into Solgaleo's white fur.

Lei: Solgaleo... the sun Pokémon!

Ash: Hey Solgaleo, this is Lei. Professor Kukui's son and my little brother.

The white beast shifts its attention to the younger boy who very shyly extends his hand for the Pokémon to sniff. He does and after a few moments covers Lei in slobber as he licks his face with his large rough yellow tongue, almost knocking him over.
