"Angels banished from heaven had no choice but to become devils..." - Vicious
'You can't die by yourself Adam. If you could you would've become a God. You know what you lack? The courage... the spark, the starving to be nothing more than a dead soul in this mortal world. Yea, you had the desire, to die, but that was all, desire can't kill... love can...!"
These were the words that stopped Adam from pulling the trigger. His lips created a meticulous smile, that wasn't a smile of a good man,... not a wicked man either... but a broken one. His soul was broken, alone, solitary in the vast ocean of friendship and a futuristic universe. He never did find the person who'll cry for him if a bullet would have ever cracked open that useless skull of his. He was alone in a galaxy that never saw the moon. "Seems I can't pull it in the end..." was all he said in his shaking voice and grabbed the handle of the packed suitcase and ran outta the room-door just as a laser beam burst opened the west wall of his room. Just for a mere second he longed to look back towards the room that sheltered him for the longest nights he ever had in his whole life, but in Twilight if you ever ever look back you never look forward again... he new the rules of this world too well, he never made that mistake. So, He boarded his 'Aerobike', one among many tools the Angels have given him for the sake his survival. This machine could be controlled by one's instincts, the very thing that kept the still living humans 'human' and what the Gods lack. They never relied on instincts. So, they never knew how to handle this machine and that's where they fell in disadvantage. Yeah ironic isn't it? The Gods at disadvantage! That's why Adam loved this machine so much, he drove... drove and drove past the neon-lit alleys of the biggest the twisted most city of Andromeda, the Twilight. He have to fly away. Fly far enough from the neat and peach black streets of the city that he had learned to love and trust, so that he wouldn't have to wake up from his sleep in the horror of the same nightmare over and over again. Yeah a nightmare, that was the proof of his humanity... he still had dreams... the very thing that tried to send him time and time again to the verge of insanity. 'There was a girl...' his voice was buried in the hissing of the Aerobike's engine. 'THERE WAS A G-I-R-L....' he screamed, 'why does there have to a girl, always... ALWAYS?? She made me this way, she made my world this way, she DESTROYED my world, my home... my galaxy... piece by piece, shred to shred, soul to soul, heart to HEART...' She was the first ever Goddess this universe had... she was the last goddess he believed, well, that was once upon a time. And she used his trust well, hah hah hah... what a waste of beautiful love. Love...? Yeah Adam loved her, too deeply that when she left him for the greater good he said to himself, 'Maybe... this is for the best...." And she banished him from his own world, the world that used to be of humans' and humans' only. Then came the Gods. THE GODS. Yeah today you're seeing them chasing Adam to take his breath away but there used to be a time they cherished the thought of creating a new humanity. They promised a new universe peaceful enough to sit down and write poems... they promised a world where a new Sun will rise, a new hope will live and Love will be preached. So they made Adam the first new Man of their age. Why? Because he was the lover of their Goddess...? Maybe... maybe BUT... that was a long, long time ago too. 'And there was a Goddess...' his eyes were blurry... NO No, Adam don't get distracted. You can't avoid distraction... you simply can't, you're the last flicker of humanity, the last breath Milky way is yet to take, the last of the fallens' followers... the last, the Gods now want to perish under their scepture of justice. You can't afford to lose yourself, not for your sake but for your burnt home... You've to take revenge, don't you Adam? You have to confront her... and when you do you've to be more ruthless than any soul ever, even more than the Angels, far more evil than just a mere maniac... You've to be the devil himself... Adam left the streets of Twilight looking into the blank colorless starry space. It looked beautiful, just as she did... whereas his mind was clouded by the ghost of his past, his last words left in the air of Twilight were..." I've to become the Devil..."
