"WANNA YOU MISSED SO MUCH SCHOOL, you're practically failing!" Jessica scolded. They were in his room. DJ had his arms crossed, looking at him in disappointment.

"Champ, I'm really mad right now. You need to go to school I ain't playing with you. I know it's Valentine's Day but we're taking your phone and you aren't going out. I ain't having it." DJ told him as he grabbed Javon's phone that was positioned on his bedside table.

"What? Dad, I'm old enough, you don't need to be doing that. What about Vivien? I have to go to the Valentine's dance." Javon clapped back. He was stressed about what Vivien was going to think. Jessica pressed her lips into a straight line. "We love Vivien, we really do but you should've thought about that before you decided to just skip school and not do your work."

"Get ready for school, we're dropping you off."

"What? Why? Where's my car?" Javon was getting pissed but he didn't want to argue with his parents. "Hid the keys, you can't go out either but school."

"How am I getting home?"

"Easy, Cookie (Jayla)." His parents exited the room

"Dad what?" Jayla intervened after she was eavesdropping on their conversation. "Why do I have to?"

"End of discussion," DJ yelled out. Javon was stressed. The teacher assigned him to do a test during lunch so he couldn't hang out with Vivien. He couldn't leave class early as well. He needed to catch up. If he chooses to skip one more time, he'll get kicked out.

Vivien walked down the halls with no expression. It was Valentine's Day and Javon wasn't answering her texts.

"Hey V— why the face?" Miguel spotted her, he was on the way to the others until he saw Vivien's condition. Vivien looked at him in silence. "Are you okay?"

Vivien opened her mouth to speak until she got cut off.

"Happy Valentine's Day baby!" Jocelyn clamoured as she ran up to him. She pulled him into a warm hug, not noticing he was talking to Vivien. Vivien eyed the two, she was happy for them. Miguel mouthed 'I'm sorry.' as Jocelyn dragged him towards the others.

Vivien sighed and walked away but she was stopped by JC. "Why are you frowning?"

"Me and Wanna aren't talking to each other again."

JC raised a brow, "Still? What even happened? I thought he slept at your house like two days ago or something?" Vivien sat down on a table, JC copying her actions.

"He did, it was going well until today. " Vivien explained.

JC raised a brow and looked at Vivien, "Girl on Valentine's Day?"

"Yeah." Vivien sighed, playing with her fingers.

"Is he at school?"

"I doubt it. He went to school yesterday though."

"He's going to get kicked out if he misses too much school and it's still February. Four more months to go." JC pointed out. He glanced at Preston who was already looking at him but he quickly looked away.

"Why are you being weird?" Kacey questioned, looking at Preston. He quickly snapped his head towards Kacey, "Wha— huh? What do you mean?"

"Yeah, what do you mean? Preston is always weird." Ace intervened, making the others chuckle. "Yeah, but he's being more weird today." Kacey cleared. Preston went silent. He felt like no one understood him or will. Vivien asked him about his sexuality or if he would date a guy a week ago.
