{{Author's note - 'Phoe-Phoe' is pronounced like 'Fee-Fee'.}}

"Ok, everyone here?" Viridi glanced around the circle.

"Well, are we?" Verroll said vaguely, not looking up from his book.

"Verroll!" Zosia groaned.

"Well, I'm here. And so is he." Lynn said, pointing to Leo.

"Sup." He grinned.

"Uhm, why are we here again?" Jamie asked. "We could all be curled up in a corner reading, not talking to anyone..."

"Oh, loosen up Jamie!" Witchie grinned. "We'll be having plenty of fun." Jamie's face went pale as Witchie's expression turned mischievous. He ran and hid behind Viridi.

"Virdiiii!" He cried. Viridi was his favourite. Except from when her accent suddenly changed. Then she was scary. Then when Viridi was scary Lynn was his favourite.

"Don't worry, she's not going to hurt you." Viridi sighed. Jamie calmed slightly at this.

"Where's Phoe-Phoe?" Verroll asked.

"Phoe-Phoe?" Leo asked with a slight smirk.

"Shut up, I will slit your throat." Verroll growled.

"He means Phoenix." Lynn explained. "And, please, don't do that."

"No promises." Verroll glared at Leo, who was holding in laughter.

"We aren't going to make it through today." Viridi sighed. "And we haven't even started."

"Hehehe..." Witchie chuckled.

"Oh my lord." Zosia groaned. "Can't we just go home now?"

"No." Verroll said. "We stay here, and do whatever my sis wants us to do. Some sort of game, I think. Can't remember what." Viridi smirked.

"I hear you often played this with Veronica and Ma when you were younger." Viridi chuckled.

"Oh. My. God." Verroll glanced around. "Is it UNO?"

"Yes." Viridi grinned.

"Great. We're all going to have no braincells left." Verroll sighed. "But I still haven't gotten an answer. Where's Phoe-Phoe?"

"They couldn't make it, unfortunately." Lynn sighed. "They have to help out back at their home."

"Shoot. The only person who would keep me sane during this isn't even here. Awesome." Verroll groaned.

"Well then, you can all learn as you play." Viridi clasped her hands together, a mischievous smile on her face. "I'll deal out cards."

They all sat in a circle, and Viridi finished dealing out cards. "Lynn, you play first. Then we go clockwise." Viridi said after she placed a card face up next to the draw pile.

"Wait, why does Lynn play first?" Leo asked.

"Oh! I know!" Jamie said happily, the instruction manual in his hands. "The person to the drawer's immediate left is the one who plays first. Then the players continue to play clockwise unless a card changes the direction." He explained.

"Oh." Leo said.

"Uhm..." Lynn frowned at her cards. "So... I just put down this one?" Lynn placed down a red seven on the green seven.

"Yep!" Viridi said. Verroll sighed and placed down a red two. Zosia examined her cards.

"Uhm... What happens when I placed down this?" She asked, placing down a red '+2'. Viridi snorted.
