Hurrying inside Carrie discovered a gaping hole in the Prayer closet large enough for a person to crawl through........ Suddenly she heard creaks upstairs and Carrie climbed the stairs. She looked around, but no sign of her mother was in sight. She went into her own bedroom only to find it empty.........
Carrie: Mama? Mama? Mama? MAMA!
She yelled at her mother.
With Carrie's back turned to the hall her mother Margaret White walked past her into her own room unnoticed.

Carrie turned off the lights in her room and proceeded into the bathroom. She began to run a bath removing her dress and slipped her naked form into the tub....... As she splashed some water over her face adjusting her sight she seemingly noticed all the blood on her for the first time since Prom....... She looked at herself in horror realizing what happened tonight was all real. All the things she'd done the people she hurt (Whether they were now dead or not) and guilt-ridden by her actions....... Carrie started sobbing.
