We had to leave as soon as possible before the earl could wake up and kill us, too.

I walked to the exit of that dark place and without thinking I ended up a poor area, but perfect for that night. in the center of the small area there was a signboard.

The sky wasn't as dark as before, the morning was probably coming, and I hadn't slept as much.

He and I would have rest nearby, and until no one would have tried to confront us, Daniel wouldn't have to worry about anything.

The next day i was still hungry and broke. I checked Daniel's eye and it was all black and purple from the punch.

I was still mad at the earl and especially at myself for not being able to defend my brother when he needed help.I looked back at what had happened the previous day and tried to dig into my memory to find out what should have happened today.

Technically, William should have started investigating the murder of the tailor's son, but unfortunately I didn't know if he had already talked to the guy who played the accordion to exchange information, and when he was supposed to get to where we were, and then later to understand the place from where the child had been spied. I was still unprepared, we were still unprepared.

The streets were filling with people and we were still sitting in the usual place for hours.

Unexpectedly a man with blond hair stopped in front of us, and I was able to recognize him immediately.

"I would like to have a brief word with you, would you mind?" he said waving a coin in his hand

"oh fuck. Not now... WHY HIM?!"

"now that I think about it, from the point of view of a person like me, in my own situation, even though he might just be 'good person' offering money, he seems a little arrogant...We shouldn't be part of his investigation with his Moriarty gang, so I'd better say no."

" I don't need your money" i replied

he seemed a little surprised at first, but he made his usual face come back soon after.

"Daniel, get up. We are in front of the main character" I said aloud, not caring about the secrecy,  i mean, who could understand me?

"oh, a foreigner?" he asked calmly

"Yeah, any problems?"

"oh my, of course not! I was just a little surprised, you don't see very often foreigners in places like this."

"'places like this', how could you know? I bet you live confortable in a big house with your family" I looked at him badly trying to act.

He turned his eyes towards Daniel's black eye

"If you allow me to talk a little in that bar, I promise I will take care of him- your brother I imagine? - and he will receive the necessary care to disinfect and cover any wounds. Was he beaten up?"
