In the eerie silence of the abandoned motel, Kai cautiously stepped into the desolate hallway of the fifth floor. The air was heavy with a sense of foreboding as she made her way towards room 512, her heart pounding with anticipation.

As she approached the entrance, the emptiness of the hallway struck her. Not a single sound broke the stillness, leaving her with an unsettling sense of isolation. She hesitated before unlocking the door, her fingers trembling slightly.

With a sharp click, the door swung open, revealing a scene of macabre horror. A blood-soaked man lay motionless near the bedside, his eyes staring blankly at the ceiling. Kai's breath caught in her throat as she cautiously approached, her mind reeling from the gruesome sight.

As she reached out to check for a pulse, a sudden burst of static erupted from a desk in the corner of the room. Kai froze, her senses on high alert. She fumbled for the light switch, but the room remained plunged in darkness.

Summoning her courage, she fumbled for the radio dial and tuned it in. A distorted message crackled to life. 'Hello, hello um, if your hearing this message, this prerecorded and if your noticing abit of...uh rough in the interior, then a experiment broke out. In your in the after math of it...'

Before the message could continue, the static returned, obliterating the words. Panic surged through Kai as she realized the gravity of her situation. She frantically searched for an escape, her eyes darting towards the back door that led to an outside balcony.

But instead of heading for the exit, her gaze fell on a set of three keys hidden beneath the sheets of the bed. Curiosity overcame her fear as she reached for them, her fingers trembling. As her hand brushed against something cold, she felt a sharp pain shoot through her body.

Her eyes widened in terror as she turned to face the source of the pain. The undead man had risen from the floor, his eyes blazing with a sinister hunger. Before he could lunge at her, Kai swung a crowbar that lay nearby, striking him squarely in the face.

But the blow did nothing to deter him. With renewed ferocity, the undead creature lunged at her, its claws extended. Kai screamed and ran for the door, desperate to escape.

As she reached the threshold, the undead creature leaped at her, its body crashing through the wall with a sickening thud. Its neck snapped violently, ending its reign of terror. Kai stumbled backwards, her body trembling with fear.

'Fuck this,' she muttered, her voice barely a whisper. She clutched the three keys in her hand, her mind racing with possibilities. She knew she had to find a way to reach room 665, but the entrance had vanished without a trace.

'This place is playing with my head,' she whispered to herself, a sense of despair creeping into her voice.

As Kai cautiously exited room 512, her heart pounded with unease. The once familiar hallway now shimmered with an eerie purple hue, casting an unsettling doubt over her perception.

'What is it now?' she whispered to herself, her eyes darting toward the key in her trembling hand. The number '422' stared back at her, a beacon in the unfamiliar landscape.

With newfound determination, Kai ascended to the fourth floor, her footsteps echoing through the seemingly deserted corridor. As she approached room 422, the door creaked open on its own, revealing a chilling sight. A viscous black substance flowed across the floor, forming grotesque patterns.

Undeterred, Kai stepped inside, her crowbar held firmly in her grip. The air was thick with the stench of decay and the cacophony of banging and clanking noises. Her eyes scanned the room until they fixed upon a note lying on the kitchen counter.

'Virus 1.2.12,' it read. Kai's mind raced as she flipped the paper over, her heart pounding. A faint leak from the closet drew her attention, but as she turned, she heard the unmistakable whistle of a boiling teapot.

Spinning back to the kitchen, she was met with an empty counter. The teapot was nowhere to be seen. Kai's gaze shifted back to the closet, its door now halfway open.

With bated breath, she cautiously approached the threshold, her crowbar extended. As she peered inside, a gruesome sight met her eyes. A decomposed body lay on the floor, its limbs twitching convulsively. Black fluid oozed from its back as it emitted a haunting cry.

'Help...help...I feel death in my skin!' it rasped.

Kai recoiled in horror, her body trembling. As the corpse finally succumbed to its torment, she noticed a note pinned to its chest. With trembling hands, she reached down and retrieved it.

'Vaccination 1.2.12 failed,' it read.

A chilling realization dawned upon Kai. This abandoned motel was not merely a relic of the past, but a sinister laboratory where a deadly experiment had gone horribly wrong. Determined to unravel the truth, she left room 422, her mind racing with questions.
