At about half after six, while my mom was still sleeping, I got all of my things into my black 1969 Camaro. When I was bringing out the last of my stuff, I heard a woman's voice saying "David, are you leaving?" I turned around, my girlfriend was walking over. "Sorry Sam, but yes" I said as I turned back to my Camaro to make sure I had everything. I had always thought that I'd never have to leave her in my life. She asked "Are you going to college?" I said no. "Then where?" I answered with another question. "Does it matter?" "No, it doesn't" "Then please don't ask." "Hey David, can you wait a minute?" I nodded.

She came back five minutes later throwing some luggage in the back seat of the Camaro. She also had her black hair tied into a ponytail. Before I could ask why she did, she opened the passenger door and sat down in the seat, then said "Go". I would have told her that she couldn't come with me but she wouldn't listen, so I just shrugged and started the car.

After one hour of driving, Sam got a call from Kim, telling her to come home, but Sam was being stubborn and kept saying no, Kim gave up and said told her to be careful then hung up. "Ma told me to tell you to call your mother" she said while trying to hand me her phone. "No thanks, I can hold out a while longer." I didn't tell her that I didn't want to hear my mom's voice yelling at me.

I began to feel uneasy after a short while after that. Kim asked where we were going about four times or so. After about the fourth time I pulled over and asked, "Country or ocean-side?" She was confused and said ocean-side. "Good choice."
