At the next intersection I took a left turn and pulled into a gas station to fill the tank to full. As I stepped out of the car, I took a second to smell the salt in the air. I pulled out my wallet and opened it to see how much money I have. I whispered "$2,000,000. Good." I looked at Sam and began to wonder if it was a good idea to bring her. She noticed that I was looking at her, "What's up?" "Nothing," I quickly checked my watch, it was a military-grade watch Dad gave me 5 years ago, 15:33, "why?" "You were looking at me weirdly." "Oh, sorry I was just thinking about something" I quickly stated. She kept at it, "Like what?" I had to change the subject, "Nothing important. Why?" "No real reason." I nodded and asked her if see wanted anything. Like always, she said yes and that she wanted a slushy. As I cheered in my head, I said ok and went inside.

My watch said 23:42 as I pulled up into the parking lot of the 4-star hotel called Hollywood Roosevelt and noticed Sam was asleep. I got out of my car and carefully closed the door. I went inside to check out a decent room, one with a view. I came back out to get her and bring her to the room. Before I opened the passenger door, I looked in the sky to see if I could find my zodiac constellation, "Found it." I looked back at the car and opened the door and carefully picked her up, I pushed the door with my foot so it would close. I walked in and asked the women at the counter to help me bring our things to our room; one of the two gladly agreed and began to walk me toward the room. When we got to the room I asked her if she could open the door for me as I glanced at Sam to see if she was still asleep, she was. The woman opened the door and put the key card in my back pocket; I thanked her as she closed the door behind me. I gently placed Sam on the bed and pulled the covers over her, and then I went looking for a couch to sleep on.
