Scara blinked, feeling defensive at the accusation. He furrowed his brow, staring at Heizou like he was insane. Because of course he was. No one knew Scara was even alive! The only people that even knew his identity wa-
Scara froze, goosebumps spreading all along his body. Dottore knew. Dottore saw him and knew. How could he forget such an important detail? Kazuha had to "save" him from that situation not even an hour ago!
"Heizou." Scara mumbled, feeling the two men's gaze shift onto him.
"Yeah?"
"Who reported me to you?" Scara asked slowly, staring at Heizou as the other man's eyes widened.
"I-I can't disclose that..." Heizou mumbled, rubbing the base of his neck with his hand.
"Why not? Don't I deserve to know?" Scara sneered, his fingers curling into fists.
Heizou sighed, his hand dropping back down to his side, "It's confidential, and the informant wished to stay anonymous."
Scara frowned, he was being accused of... something. He at least needed to know who accused him.
"Well at least tell me what I am being accused of. I haven't done anything since I've been here!" He growled, taking a step forward.
"You'll be told when I bring you in," Heizou sighed, standing his ground.
Kazuha glanced between them, narrowing his eyes as they went back and forth. He noticed the hostility in the man's posture.
"Let's calm down... Heizou, could you atleast tell him what he did?" Kazuha asked, Scara's blazing gaze on him.
Heizou froze, a thoughtful look coming across his face before he caved with a sigh, "Treachery to the country? Honestly I wasn't even sure the charge was serious."
Scara frowned, eyeing the burgundy-haired man. His voice and actions showed no lying but he still found it hard to believe. He wouldn't put it behind Heizou to keep a few pieces of key information from him. Sadly he had to take his word.
"I just don't know how... you've been with us for a few days now." Heizou spoke up, his eyes fixed onto nothing. Kazuha frowned at him.
"We haven't let you out of our sight this entire time," he dragged his eyes up to meet Scara's, his expression unreadable.
"How long have you been living in Inazuma, Scaramouche?" Heizou questioned, quirking an eyebrow.
Scara frowned, his eye twitching slightly, "long enough, why?"
"Well you were accused of treason," he shrugged, watching the other man intensely.
Scara furrowed his brows. Why was he saying this? It's not like he was going to get anything out of him. These men didn't need to know how long he's been here anyways.
"Falsely accused, I did no 'treason'," Scara hissed, narrowing his eyes at the burgundy as he felt hostility bubble up.
"That's not what the officials are saying..." Heizou remarked, his lips inching down.
"Listen here detective," Scara hissed, pushing Heizou away from him, "What I did before meeting you both has nothing to do with you."
Kazuha put a hand on Heizou's back to stop him from stumbling. He looked between the two men, frowning disapprovingly at them both as he put himself between them.
"You need to stop," he said, looking infuriated, glaring at Heizou, "Scara doesn't look like he'd commit treason, let alone to Inazuma!"
Scara scoffed, what did he know? He hasn't been in his life long enough to even know what he's done against the country. Kazuha shot him a glare, hostility evident in his gaze.
