"Baby, are you alright?"

Her eyes flickered toward her boyfriend Micah with her face softening, who was standing before the bookshelf as the male gently pushed a book back into its rightful place, freshly closing up the store early for the weekend.

She nodded at him but knew that he needed more than that, he stepped toward her toward the counter. Resting his elbows on it with a small smile.

"Talk to me, Clov' what's up?" Micah called out, his tone filled with irritation.

She was deep in thought about Jahmir's vision that was shown to her and she figured that it was time to end her relationship with Micah. After everything that happened this month, then she felt like a new person and she figured that it was the new powers from Jahmir running through her veins. Was it?

It wasn't just the vision either. It had been on her mind for a while.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just thinking about something." Clover signed, shrugging her shoulders.

She frequently questioned her relationship with Micah before, from his ego trip, to him not being there to save her from the vampires that night and lastly, him not proposing to her after 8 years in their relationship. Where did they go wrong?

"How come you haven't proposed to me Micah? How come you didn't even sense something and save me from the vampires that night?" Clover exclaimed, circling the counter.

She stood in front of the male without nervousness, her fingers intertwining with her own. Trying to calm herself down as she mentally prepared herself.

Frustration tightened Micah's jaw, his face contorting with anger. Stepping back, he crossed his arms in disbelief. How could she ask him for more? From his perspective, he had already given his all to the relationship.

"And why are thinking about marriage right now? We're not ready and you can take care of yourself." Micah questioned angrily, his gaze narrowed at her.

Clover took a deep breath and calmed herself down as she felt her anger rising. However, she knew better than to ignore his true character and pretend he was someone else.
