BACK TO AFIA'S POV

After that one night, his attitude and behavior changed.

Well, only to me.

I slowly realized,

He's not the evil man they told me he is. He is not even close to it. He's a kind hearted man, he's only acting like his true self with the people he loves

then a thought suddenly flashed on my mind,

Does he really loves me or his words are just a sweet lie? Is he gonna be like my father that left my mom? Is it gonna be like that? He's the perfect man that I'd always dream of.. But this is too good to be true.. Is it just a facade or it is not?
I don't wanna be hurted again. I'm tired of it!

Suddenly the door went open and i quickly snap out of my trance

“hello..”

I saw Mr. Mactavish, since that night happened it's obviously awkward to call him uncle!

He sat next to me and speaks

“i have a party tonight.. Can you be my date again?”

I nodded in response

“is the mean girls gonna be there?”

He shakes his head

“no baby”

He said

I nodded and lays down on the bed we're sitting on

“uncle, i wanna be know about you more.. I wanna be friends with you, I've been living with you and i don't know almost everything about you!”

He grunts in annoyance

“how many times do i have to tell you to stop calling me uncle? I'm not ypir relative nor your friend.”

Back to reality

Hears his voice and snaps back out of my trance

“I'm sorry, what?”

He chuckles and says,

“i said you're pretty.”

I looked at him with disbelief and laughs

Hours later

I am now prepared for the party,

Dresses on a black revealing dtess he gave me

I holds onto his arms while walking

The party is at his house

I felt the glares and looks of the people around me

Some looked at me with disgust while most of them is with admiration and jealousy

I sat on the table next to Miguel or should i say Mr. Mactavish

We're now eating,

Beef steak with salad as a side dish

While eating i suddenly felt his hand squeezing my thigh causing me to jolt

I gulped from embarrasament,

Suddenly i heard him speak

“Good evening everyone, i have called you all because i have an important thing to say”

He paused

All the men turned to him with curiosity in their eyes

He cleared his throat

“I've called you here because i want to introduce you all to my precious wife, Sofia.”

They all gasped in shock for a moment and cheers some clapped their hands but others often give a loud applaud

As he was speaking, i feel his hands on my thigh going up and down

“She is the first person to make me feel safe and conforted. She's all i could wish for, this world is too dangerous and too evil for someone as pure as she is. The world doesn't deserve her and neither do i but nevertheless I'm thankfull for her coming into my life. In my 27 years of living on this earth this is the first time i had loved and i have been loved, i love her with all my heart. I'd give her anything she could wish for. I want you all to treat her equal or more to me, i don't want some of you thinking that she's under me or something. I actually think it's the other way around, she has got me wrapped around her little fingers. I love her and i would not let any obstacles make her feel that i don't love her. ”

I gasped in shock

He really does love me. It's not just a facade..

For once in my life i have been loved truly without begging for it, I can't explain how happy i am right now.

Maybe i should give chance
On loving someone.
