Reaching the Edge

Finally, I reached the 10th dimension of the universe, the dimension where everything imaginable is possible. But it was lonely up here. It's been millions of years since humanity lost Earth and travelled further into the vast nature of space, traveling and spreading to different planets and solar systems, maybe other galaxies too. When I reached the 6th dimension 2 million years ago, I was able to travel to all the possible worlds and futures, which made me perceive time as a means of transport to different branches of futures. But I didn't settle for the 6th dimension; I used it to find the path I needed to ascend to the 7th dimension, which leads to the evolution of mankind to another level, to perceive the worlds where the initial conditions were different than our universe and other possible worlds.

The 8th dimension gave me a bigger picture of that. I became a watcher of all worlds, seeing the histories of every universe with different initial conditions than ours, where everything has been different since the beginning of time. It made me realize how small we are in the vast multiverse. Still, I didn't settle for that; I knew that there were other higher dimensions to which I had to reach and see the edge of everything.

Soon I reached the 9th dimension, where I had total control over all the different laws of physics and the required initial conditions required for the beginning of the universe. I could experiment with everything I wanted.

I believed in God or a creator, which made me believe that a god might be governing us through these higher dimensions, but here's the thing: there was no one here except me. Yet there was still one dimension left to explore, the 10th dimension. I thought there was a chance I could meet him up there. It took me rather longer than expected to reach the final dimension, where everything imaginable and possible could be achieved.

It looked different than other dimensions because of the knowledge flowing through me and the way I could see every possible world in the multiverse, every creature, and everything simultaneously. Still, I was alone, but I heard a voice with a bright light say, "Welcome, Atlas, to the final dimension. I am a creature who dwells here."

"Hello, so is this the edge of everything?" I asked

"You can say that, but I believe you have reached infinity."

"So, are you what people call god?"

"In every universe, people call me by different names; they have their own religions, and every religion has different gods, but no, there are no gods here, and I am also not a god to begin with. You'll soon know who I am."

"Were you born here, in this dimension?"

"No, like you, I travelled here, ascending from one dimension to another, which took me a long time."

"Which world you came from?"

"That universe collapsed a long time ago."

"As I transcended through these dimensions, I had one question in my mind; even after all these dimensions, I never got the answer to it. As you know, every possible universe came into existence through nothingness; then from where did this nothingness come from?"

"When I reached this dimension for the first time, I asked the same question to myself, and since I had the power to do anything I wanted, I perceived that question and realized the answer to that. Let me tell you about myself first."

"I was a curious child from the start and wanted to test the limits of humanity to a level that helps us move further up ahead and evolve. When I reached here, I was the only one left of my kind, and I wanted to know everything. I wanted to know the purpose of reaching here, and it didn't take me long to realize that there are no gods, and there's no one controlling or creating the universe. But I had the power to create one whenever I wanted. So, when I created my first universe, I realized that everything didn't come from nothingness; in fact, nothingness came from everything, which gave birth to another set of everything. It sounds confusing, but that's the truth. The reason there's no god up here is because you are the god. I finally realized the purpose of reaching here was to create."

"I came from a universe, reached the edge of everything, and created another universe. A creature that came into existence from its own creation. This isn't a paradox; it's what we call infinity."

"I created your science, the science that created me, every law that you read in physics, every mathematical formula, every biological structure of life and all the chemistry, the magnetic field, gravity, matter, speed, everything I replicated from my universe to yours, an exact copy, it was implanted by me on your universe. There's nothing paradoxical about this as paradoxes happen when something is conflicting the nature of it, rather it's the opposite of it, as I was created by very science, which led me create it, turning into a loop. Everything created me, and I created everything."

"I imposed the physical laws in my first universe, and my end goal from that is to make my creation carve a path towards me; that was you. Humanity came closest to me when I understood the string theory of their universe. And it didn't take them long to ascend the 6th dimension, which led you to choose your own path to reach the other dimensions."

"So, who am I?" I asked patiently.

"You are me; I created a possible me in hopes of achieving my creation to reach here. I created you, and now it's your turn to be a creator."

And with that, a sudden burst of energy flowed through the vast emptiness, and life came into existence.
