AUTHOR'S POV:

It was a thunderous night. A mansion stood at the outskirts of city in all it's glory. There was celebration going on-contradictory to the weather-inside it.

A girl was dressed in a glamorous pastel pink dress. The dress reached till her knees. She was wearing a very subtle amount of makeup, complementing her dress. A beautiful diamond locket and very same earrings were adding beauty to her already charming appearance.

She smiled and flipped her hip-length hair in satisfaction.

"Oh God!! I look absolutely beautiful." She said in an excited voice.

"Hmmm.... Just like a fairy actually?" She said which was more of a question in an un assuring tone.

"No! I'm the queen of fairies. Ok? Ok! Please please please." Saying this she grinned at her reflection.

"Also god I'm not proud or arrogant of my beauty, it's just I am proud of your art. So, don't think I'm being arrogant and please don't snatch it. Ok?" She said while looking at the ceiling-like god is present there-with puppy eyes and innocent face.

"Thankyou so much....Hehehe" She beamed and giggled with happiness like she got answered.

This whole conversation which was more like a drama was watched by her parents who shook their heads with warm smiles and went from there before she notices it because she strictly warned them that she will come and show her dress at cake cutting.

But she already noticed their presence and narrowed her eyes at it but anyway let it go as today was her birthday.

She gave a last glance and a blowing kiss to her reflection before finally leaving her room. So this is our self-obsessive, dramatic (only in mirror) and beautiful 'Aadhya.'

As soon as she came in the living room, she was greeted by the warm ambiance-casted by fairy lights and artificial pastel-coloured flowers as she didn't like to waste original flowers on decorations and other stuff.

Her family was standing in the living room waiting for her. When she faced them they smiled wide where as Aadhya had a frown on her face and was glaring at a particular spot on the floor. Their smiles converted into confused frowns when they saw her.

"What happened, beta?" Ansh asked, concerned. Did someone annoyed you? Did Aarav annoyed you? Hmmm.

Aadhya glared at him and answered with a sweet forced smile. "Yes, someone annoyed me. But....." she trailed for a dramatic effect.

"But?" Meera repeated questioningly.

"But....it's not Aarav. It's you both." Aadhya answered with a poker face.

Ansh and meera immediately recognized their mistake and looked at her with sheepish smiles.

"Oh! That...actually na..yes! Actually we were passing so...so we just saw if Aarav is there or not...yes is aarav is there or not. You know." Ansh stammered while making a cock and bull story.

Aadhya scrunched at his anwer; however, slipped the topic. "Now atleast wish me!" She said annoyed.

Everybody smiled and wished her one after the other while giving hugs and blessings. Aarav was recording everything in his camera and so, he gave her a tight bear hug atlast.

Now, it was time for cake cutting. Aadhya grinned and stood near the cake table. Soon enough everybody started singing while clapping, Aadhya too was humming the music and shaking her head while cutting the cake.
