It was a slightly close game, but we won. First round win was ours. First half we had clutched, but the second half we lost it and let them catch up. It was a little disappointing, but we still won. That was all that mattered.
"Yo, Daniel!" Someone called out from behind me while I was walking through the halls to my car. I turned around to see Cameron Hugh running towards me. He was one of the team's five photographers, and the guys have gotten really close with him.
"What's up, Cam?" I asked, walking towards him.
"Elene sent me some photos of you if you wanted them. Oh, and an extra note: 'Don't think you're special, I have pics of everyone, but good game today.' "
"Can I see them?" I asked. He nodded and handed me the camera.
I scrolled through the photos. The first one was me when we came out of the tunnel. A couple of my serious faces, holding the ball, deciding who to pass it to, one of me sitting on the bench watching a play, and two of me getting touchdowns and celebrating with Gavin and Sandro. Some of these looked like they were taken on field, but I don't remember seeing her. Maybe I didn't notice or was too focused?
"I'll send them to you tomorrow." Cameron said as I handed his camera back. I nodded, and he rushed off, probably to go show the other guys their photos.
I continued walking to my car when I noticed someone standing next to it. Their back was turned, but I recognized that black hair with blonde highlights and that orange shirt anywhere. It was Elene.
It seemed like her car was parked right next to mine because she was bent over rummaging through her car for something. I smirked with an idea and walked up to her. She slightly perked up when I got behind her.
"Nathan?" She said. Wait, she was hanging out with Nathan?
"Guess again." I said and smacked her ass lightly.
She abruptly stood up and almost fell into her car. "Daniel! What the fuck?" She yelled, smacking me as I laughed.
"I couldn't help it." I defended. "You really need to keep your ass in check, it's very tempting."
A blush spread across her cheeks, even though she looked mad as hell. "What do you want, Daniel?" She asked, crossing her arms. "Is it about the photos? I told you, you're not special."
"Nah, the boys are planning a party at the twins' house to celebrate the win and they wanted to invite you." Half of what I said was true. The Varlam twins were planning a party and I'm sure they wanted Elene to be there, they just didn't tell me to invite her.
"I'm a little busy tonight." She said, but it wasn't her usual snarky remark. She actually sounded like she wanted to go.
Another idea popped into my head.
I raised my hands. "Okay, I'll tell Nathan you're not going." I turned to walk away, but before I could, she grabbed my arm and said, "Wait."
I smirked and turned around. "Yes?" I asked in a sing-song tone.
She sighed. "I'll be there." Mission accomplished. "What time?"
"Seven, and you might wanna change." I said, looking her up and down. She looked at me confused. "What's wrong with what I'm wearing?" I shrugged and turned away to my own car.
"Daniel, what's wrong with my clothes?" She yelled. "Daniel!"
Hey, it's your friendly neighborhood author! Sorry again for the short chapter!! It was only two pages worth in my docs, but I needed a stopping point. The next chapter or the chapter after that will be the one with- cough cough- lemon- cough cough. HOWEVER! I still need to figure out whether I should fully describe it, or just mention that it happened. I know I said in the previous chapter that I was gonna write it, but I'm not so sure anymore. So, I'll leave that decision up to you guys, my wonderful readers! Please comment and tell me which one you think I should do. Majority will rule, of course, but if I get half and half or I don't get any, I'll make the decision.
I am gonna go back and reread my chapters to see if they need editing, so also comment if you saw errors of any kind in this book so far.
I will definitely finish episode 3 in my "Journey of Your Modern Day God" series this Friday, but I might not be able to post this weekend. (I keep forgetting to add Leo in the story so it backtracks me from continuing)
And, OMG. 62 READS. AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! Thank you guys so, so, so much! I don't think I could ever thank you guys enough for this.
And last but not least, I'm sorry for leaving long notes (that are sometimes longer than my chapters) at the end. I'm just a yapper. But thank you for putting up with me and continuing to read my stories.
Happy reading!
