ELODIE REINER WAS AN ENIGMA. Despite the numerous interviews and growing up in the limelight, people barely knew anything about her. Beyond her nepotistic family background and the fact she hit a tennis ball with a racket rather well she remained a mystery.
Other socialites and coined 'it girls' at her age were being caught doing lines of coke in the booths of Italian restaurants and in clubs with the latest teen heartthrobs' hand down their skirts. But Elodie Reiner held grace and dignity that her peers seemingly didn't know how to.
Following her dad ( aka the tennis god Spencer Reiner) around to different sporting events across the globe — donning outfits that the press would call ' slutty' if they didn't look like something that could be worn at the country club, aka Elodie's own personal kingdom. Being photographed with the future tennis prodigy's that would come and play at her dad's foundation. That wide smile and light in her eyes that made everyone adore her.
And then, she meets Art Donaldson and Patrick Zweig. And suddenly that grace and dignity she has prided herself on being is thrown out the window. All in the name of the match point.
