3rd person pov
Melanie sat next to Esme, who was laying on the gurney looking close to lifeless, Melanie was getting check out as Esme's phone went off once more
Melanie had grabbed Esme's phone and her bag before they were escorted onto a place and then into an ambulance once they landed back in LA
When they had finally arrived at the hospital the back doors were opened, Melanie didn't understand any of the codes that they were saying but they did let her stay with Esme
Melanie had only a few scratches, a gash on her thigh that needed stitched and some new forming bruises on her body
Esme had scratches all over her along with bruises and cuts, she was obviously gonna need stiches but at the moment they were more focused on getting whatever was in her stomach out so they could stop the bleeding, and they believed she had broken her arm based off what Melanie told them
Lev was more than freaking out, the man was about to have a full blown on panic attack, everyone held their breath and froze once Yolanda's phone had gone off
"Mmm. Are you sure? Oh my god" Her voice cracked, everyone looked at each other with tears in their eyes
"Yeah, of course. Ill be there as soon as i can" Yolanda said before hanging up, she placed her phone on the counter before she let out a sob, Elliana immediately rushing over to her mom
With shaky hands Lev accepted the hug Jentzen offered him, Jentzen could hear Lev crying and he let him, it's not everyday your girlfriend gets into a plane crash and you have no updates or anything on her
"Uh, she's about an hour away, they said she hasn't woken up yet, uh, they have to put her under emergency surgery and they're hoping by the time we arrive she's out of surgery and hopefully waking up. But they said we can stay the night if we need to and they have hotels near by we can stay" Yolanda explained wiping some tears away as she was hugging Elliana still
"I think we should go pack a bag or two and then head that way" Tiffany suggested as they all made a sound of agreement
"Ok, uh, ill take Jentzen" Lev spoke up
"I got Elly, Piper, and Tif" Yolanda said grabbing her phone and purse
"Pack some bags and then make your way to the hospital, it's under Esme so if you get there first you can go ahead and see what's happening" Yolanda said before pulling Lev into a hug
He let out a breath as he wrapped his arms around her, "She'll be ok" Yolanda said breaking the hug
"She's the strongest girl ever, she'll pull through and she's gonna be ok" she added as Lev nodded, they all went their separate ways
Melanie was half asleep in the chair in Esme's room when the door opened, she was debating if she should open her eyes or not but did once she heard two dudes talking
"What are you doing?" she asked as the two boys jumped, turning to her wide eyed
"What-"
"Who-" they said at the same time before looking at each other
"who are you?" Lev spoke up as he looked at her, he didnt know if he was ready to look over and see Esme yet
"I'm Melanie, who are you?" she asked standing up, the blanket falling to reveal the bandage around her thigh
"Lev, her boyfriend" he said as Melanie's eyes widened and she smiled
"She told me all about you! And you must be Jentzen. I sat next to Esme on the plane" Melanie said walking over to the two
"What even happened?" Jentzen blurted as Lev hit his arm, "Bro"
"Nah it's good, we were fine, we were laughing and talking and then next thing you know the alarms are going off, breathing mask fall out, screaming and then i woke up in a pond" Melanie explained so casually you would think this has happened to her before
"Has she woken up yet?" Elliana asked coming into the room, Piper behind her, "Parent's went to get a hotel" she added before her eyes went to the brunette
"Melanie, right?" Elliana smiled a little
"Yeah! How'd you know?" Melanie chuckled a little, "Esme was complaining how she spent money for wifi on the plane and then she began to tell me about you"
"All nice thing's i hope" Melanie smiled as Elliana nodded, "All nice things"
They five went and sat in some chairs around Esme, Jentzen and Elliana shared one, Piper and Melanie had their own as Lev sat on the edge of the bed
"So what's your story? Why were you going to NYC?" Piper asked curiously as she was plying with her fingers
"Was gonna go see my grandparents, i was gonna stay with them since my dad's a crack whore and my mom up and left the other day" Melanie shrugged as they all stared at her
"Are you ok?" Jentzen spoke up looking at her mouth agape
"Oh, im fine! But my grandpa called and said i cant come and stay with them anymore for absolutely no reason, so, kinda homeless" she laughed
"Mel, shut up. I was dreaming abut Dylan O'Brien again" Esme mumbled as they all turned to her wide eyed
"Did she just-"
"Yeah" Lev nodded staring at his girlfriend
"You just confessed to dreaming about another man in front of your boyfriend, Esme" Melanie spoke up as Esme groaned a little opening her eyes and looking around
She blinked a few times as her eyes adjusted to the light, "Oh, hi" she smiled a little, her throat was dry and a little raspy from not talking for a few hours
"Really?" Elliana laughed a little, "Oh, hi?"
"What do you want me to say? i just served and survived a plane crash bitch" Esme said going to sit up but stopped as her stomach began to hurt
"Fuck" she groaned holding her stomach, Lev got off the bed and rushed to her side
"Ill get a doctor, he can dope you up on some pain meds" Melanie smiled, patting Esme's leg and leaving with a little limp as she walked
