Turning towards the place where voice came from, the girl looked at a handsome boy whose earrings were blinding her, she said, "From which angle do I look as if I am hopping?"

She continued somewhat irritated by the stranger, "Where is your manhood, not protecting a lady in this condition."

Karn was amused and replied, "I am a firm believer of naarishakti, devi I believe you do not need my help."

By the time he replied, Karn saw the girl to no longer able to float, started drowning, so he jumped into the river rescuing her to the shore.

After he rescued her, she seemed unconscious. So he pumped her chest and with that water came out her mouth and she was jolted awake.

She looked around and then pinched herself to check whether she was alive or not, She seemed relieved with the result. Then she looked at the man who saved her. Getting up and tidying herself, she said, "Thank you for saving my life, Shriman"

Karn surprised replied, "I thought you would be angry at me for teasing you."

She then said, "Who said I am not angry, but repaying kindness comes first."

After which the girl pinched Karn so hard that he winced in pain and looked at her in awe of pinching ability.

The girl suddenly sneezed, which made Karn realise that he forgot she must be feeling cold. He then offered her, "Devi, My hut is nearby. If you want, we can light up a fire there that would help you feel better."

The girl agreed, after which Karn went to carry her in his arms. The girls took two steps back and looked at him in shock and enquired, "What are you doing?"

Karn innocently replied, "Taking you to the hut".

The girl asked, "Why are you carrying me in your arms, I am a little wet that's it. I have not lost my leg."

Karn then realised that this was the result of watching too much serials and dramas in his previous life. He then blushed and apologised to her, "Forgive me devi, I forgot".

The girl was amused at his reaction and said, "No problem, please lead the way".

After which Karn led her to his hut. When the girl saw his hut she saw, It was made of branches of trees, had fencing around it. In the courtyard, she saw a shivling.

Overall the hut was clean and had a peaceful vibe to it. Birds were chirping, occasionally monkeys were hopping on the roof of the hut. It was as if all of nature was peacefully living here. It somehow had a soothing effect to her body. She felt relieved.

Karn invited her to the house when he saw her standing still at the entrance. He cleared a place for her to sit and then collected some wood from underneath trees and lit them up into a fire. He then asked her to sit down near the fire and offered her some fruits which she accepted. She seemed deep in thought throughout the way.

After which, It was now time of his puja, so he asked her to make herself home and then gathered the ingredients for the puja and begin his puja which lasted till noon.

After puja, they sat together for lunch, then the girl suddenly asked, "What do you want to become in the future".

Karn was surprised at the sudden question but replied honestly, "I don't know, I just want to live peacefully I guess and What about you?".

The girl replied, "I just want to do anything."

Karn somewhat confusedly asked, "What do you mean?"

The girl smiled and replied, "I mean anything at any time I want. I don't want to be restricted by the shackles of the society. When needed I can become a general and go to war to protect my country, become a queen and rule the country, when angry the earth quakes in fear of my anger, I want to protect whomsoever I want to protect from absolutely any one and sometime when I want to do nothing no one can force me to do anything. I just don't want to be as helpless as I was today."

Karn was truly shocked this time, It took a while for him to process her words and then he said,     "You know that's quite difficult given that you are a woman".

The girl replied, "I know, even if my parents agree, it will be very hard to find a guru to agree to teach me and even if they agree, they must have the capability to teach me to attain such level.".

After such heavy conversation both went silent for a while, after some time Karn said, "You know that there is one person that could teach you. But to attain his acceptance would be just as tough."

The girl genuinely surprised this time asked, "Who is it. No matter the difficulties I will never give up."

Karn replied, "Only Mata Parvati has the qualities of the guru that could teach you and will not have the slight bias towards you being a woman."

The girl's eyes soon twinkled and she jumped here and there, this time truly resembling a frog and then she suddenly hugged Karn to which he went blank. His brain short-circuited. The girl soon realised what she had done and pushed him away and started looking at her feet blushing.

There was an awkward silence between both of them for quite a while. No one talked to the other.

Suddenly there was voice of footsteps coming from afar. They seemed like some sort of trained soldiers and were searching from someone important judging from their expressions. Karn did not notice that the girl sitting beside her suddenly stood up and asked him, "Can I meet you again in the future if I come here".

Karn replied, "Not for a few years, I plan of going to Mahendragiri Parvat to gain tutelage from bhagwan parshuram".

The girl this time just nodded her head and did not seemed surprised. The soldiers came near her and there was an old man leading them. The old man seemed haggard but still had a dominating presence that commanded respect and absolute obedience. The girl ran towards him and shouted cutely, "Yogendra chacha".

The old man called Yogendra looked at the girl and he looked like the burden of the world was suddenly lifted from his shoulder, he went on one knee and opened his arms and said, "Rajkumari".

The girl ran into his arms and then got lifted up in the air by the man. The man anxiously asked the girl, "Rajkumari, What happened, where were you, where did you get lost??"

The girl seemingly explained everything after which the old man looked at Karn with gratitude and came to him and said, "Putr, today we are indebted to you for saving our rajkumari, ask what you want, we would grant you your wish".

Karn's mind went blank, he thought Rajkumari, she was rajkumari.

Karn however quickly came to his senses and replied, "It was my duty mahoday, I did not do it in expectation of getting anything in return".

The old man was pleased, he then gave his sword to the Karn and said, "This is my sword, bring it to Ayodhya Mahanagri in the future and your wish will be granted".

Karn then looked at the girl for a while and then with a smile took the sword.

After some small talks, the old man headed back with the girl leaving behind Karn looking at their backs. He then turned towards the hut looking at the sword and the journey he will begin tomorrow towards Mahendragiri and his future. Suddenly he heard the girl shouting and running towards him.

The girl came near him and took Karn's rudraksh mala he was wearing and gave hi m her kangan, and asked, "Kumar, aapka naam kya hai?".

He replied, "Karn, aur aapka?"

The girl however ran back but not before saying,

"Ayodhya Mahanagri ki Rajkumari Aradhya".
