Fear made Thalia's blood run cold. She was only eighteen, married to an evil man she was made to worship and please anytime he desired, and he desired often, even if that meant to take her when she begged for a moment of solitude. But now, after discovering her pregnancy she clenched her skirt as she walked into their shared quarters to him claiming another woman in their marital bed.
Apart of her was relieved that she wasn't the one under him for once, at least this woman wasn't crying a begging to be let go. She was enjoying it, something Thalia never did. "At least she behaves!" Her husband grunted as he continued to rot into the woman underneath him. Unsure of what to do Thalia closes the door, unintentionally causing it to slam. She scurried as far from the bedroom as possible when she heard him curse from the room and made a sound as if he was putting his clothes back on.
"You distasteful witch. I own you, you do not have the right to have an attitude or anger towards me because you are the useless one!" He screamed grabbing a fistful of her curly hair causing her to cry out. "Pathetic." He says as she hit her hard enough to send her flying to the ground, tears ran down her stained cheeks, she didn't dare look up at him.
"Useless bitch. I'll get rid of you soon."

Thalia had ran off to visit her mother and younger siblings, Jane and Alec. She didn't speak a word of the events that occurred the night before, she was still her sweet and kind self. She was helping her mother with the chores when the older woman left frantically telling Thalia to keep Alec close. Without questioning she dropped what she was doing and when to her younger brother who was sitting not to far away from the cottage.
"Where's mother?" Alec questioned as Thalia sat beside him. Thalia wrapped her arm around her younger brother before speaking, "She went to go look for Jane, she will be back soon, brother." Thalia said with a smile as Alec place his head on Thalia's shoulder. "How is the babe?" Alec questioned, the twins seemed to have pieced together Thalia's pregnancy faster than she had, Thalia smiled, "He is doing wonderful." Thalia said with a smile as she placed a hand on her stomach, she wasn't that far along and wasn't quite showing yet. "It's a boy?"
"I feel as though it is." Thalia said before she looked up in horror to see a group of angry villagers, lead by her husband and a few of his friends, coming for them in an angry mob. Thalia and Alec stood quickly, Thalia took Alec's arm and pulled him behind her much to his dismay.
