Jessie smiled after breaking the hug with Tifa and Cloud. She had a plan in store for the mighty duo. While Tifa felt guilty to the extent she refuses to ever admit her feelings for the Ex-SOLDIER Jessie saw even through his Mako altered eyes a fire that burns for Tifa. She also got the sense that Cloud didn't understand his feelings, and her plan made her smile deviously. She loved to play games, yes, but she was a sucker for the childhood friends turned lovers' stories.Cloud kept his softened gaze fixated on Tifa for the most part. He had quickly eyed up Jessie to see any signs of injuries. To his relief, Jessie appeared unharmed. 'You should have an older girlfriend, one that'll take care of you. I think that would be the perfect type for you.' Cloud blinked before a small twitch came to his eye remembering his mother's dating advice when he was last in Nibelheim. He was annoyed that he remembered it now of all times. Before his eyes widened at remembering, Tifa said Claudia left him something. "Tifa. You said mother left me something Topside in Sector 7, right?" He asked as Tifa shook her head before smiling.
"Yeah. But we can get that later. First, I have a bar to clean..." She was cut off by Cloud shaking his head slowly. "Give me a moment. I take it the big guy with the gun arm is the leader?" Both girls nodded, and with a sigh, he spun around, leaving them alone.
"Hey Tifa. I know you said you and Cloud can never be. Hehe, but I have something to run by you." Tifa flinched as she looked to a smirking Jessie. She furrowed her brow as her fist clenched. "Oh, don't worry, it's not something bad. In fact it's very, very good." Jessie said with her hands up.
Cloud walked outside of the bar were the corpses of the patrons and Shinji laid. Seeing his target walked towards the big guy. "You. We need to talk. Now." Those words terrified the massive man as he saw Cloud approaching. "The fuck you want spiky?" Groweld the man in an effort to appear tough or intimidating. He failed. He failed gloriously at that. With a huff of annoyance, Cloud stopped a foot away from the man. "You're the leader, right?" Cloud asked, making the big guy flinch as veins began to pop out. "Ya damn right. I'm Barrett Wallace now what the fuck you want?" He growled making Cloud's eye twitch.
"Tifa needs time to deal with what she went through. She's also got something my family left for me to pick up Topside. So here's what's gonna happen Barrett, you and ya boys are gonna clean the bar and politely let her go for the rest of today. Am I clear?" Barrett was pissed being ordered around by the bastard but he also knew if a fight broke out, he wouldn't win. Snarling as he clenched his fist and teeth. "Before you answer, understand this. I've dealt with your members before. I slaughtered every single one I fought and many outclassed Tifa and that Shinji bastard. If you want to succeed in your plan, you're going to need my aid. As a favor to Tifa, I will help you all for a cheap price. Anything to get back at the fuckers who slaughtered my village and tried killing me. So consider this a team bonding situation."
Barrett was caught off-guard by the man's words he mulled it over in his head before asking. "What's your price, merc?" Cloud smirked before holding up two fingers. "2000 Gil and I'll join your mission." Barrett nearly lost his cool at that before Biggs placed a hand on his shoulder. Looking to the man before back to Cloud, Barrett sighed, nodding his head. "However. You only get paid when the job is done. Understand?" Cloud nodded before turning to head back when he smirked and let his murderous intent leak out. "Barrett. You do know if you double cross me what will happen, don't you?" Causing all three members to shiver as fear crept up their spines. Turning his head to the side, revealing his glowing cyan eye and demonic smile. "You'll need a new arm and legs to match your little pea shooter as I'll cut them off and sell them to make up for it." Barrett denies it vehemently to this day, but he voided his bladder and bowels hearing that as he nodded to the Ex-SOLDIER.
