Minerva Rose Baratheon loved when the cold wind caressed her face, softly blowing her red locks off her shoulders. The frost nipped onto her nose as the cold seeped through her warm cloak. She watched as the bannermen waved Lannister and Baratheon flags, alongside the soldiers carrying the carriages. The hoards of horses marched towards the North, led by King Robert himself.

Winterfell was a destination of a few miles from where the riders stood now, however, it was longer than what they had presumed and planned for. Minerva felt the frigid cold penetrating into her bones, as she rode her white stallion past the carriage carrying her stepbrother Joffery, and Queen Cersei. She noticed how all the soldiers were tired from the constant walk, and lack of food and water. She knew that the journey would only get longer if they continued without any assistance.

"Father, Our soldiers are too tired to carry on like this," Minerva sped her horse towards King Roberts. Supplies were too short, and without any help, it would be useless to pursue the distance.

"And what do you know about our soldiers?" Jamie Lannister mocked stepping in front of her, wearing his golden armour. He eyed the princess blandly.

"They can rest once we reach Winterfell," King Robert spoke exhausted. He hadn't bothered to slow down to let Minerva catch up with him.

Jamie Lannister scoffed before moving his horse out of her way.

Minerva galloped her stallion a few quick steps so that now she was riding right next to the king, "By not stopping, we are risking their lives. If frostbite doesn't get to them first, then hunger will." She pulled her maroon-furred cloak closer around her chest, trying to keep her body warm.

"What do you suggest we do?" King Robert slowed in his tracks this time, giving a thought to his daughter's concerns. Even though he did not want to admit it, she was right. His warriors weren't trained to take on these freezing temperatures.

Minerva gave it a thought for a minute, but before she could put her proposal forth, Jamie had spoken once again.

"Stopping now would be utterly ridiculous. Especially now that we are so close," His words seemed to have a toll on the King, as his eyebrows knit up in deep thought. Jamie never liked the bastard child of Robert. Even though she had been legitimized at a young age, he never truly accepted her. He did not want her to have any part in the royal family.

"I will go first." Minerva snapped making a few heads turn her way.

"Rose," Her father spoke softly. He only rarely called her by her second name, mainly because that was the name of her mother. The only bit of information Minerva had of her. Even though Robert never truly showed it, he loved and cared for his daughter.
