"Ah." Akira's eyes widen.

Akira glanced towards Dion, eyes filled with confusion and a little hint of gratitude. "...Dion.." He muttered in a weak and low voice, his lips trembling.

Dion, seeing Akira's state, ran towards the trembling boy and put him into his embrace. "...Are you okay, Aki?" Dion asked worriedly.

Aki hearing Dion's worried tone made his worries gone in an instant. As if relief took over, he leaned more to Dion and slowly nodded his head while keeping his silent—afraid to let things go overboard.

On the other side, Khalid stood up from the floor after being literally thrown out to the other side. He spit out blood to the floor and glared coldly at Dion.

"Stay away from Akira."

Akira flinched slightly at the cold and angered voice that Khalid used. He looked up at Dion before glancing in Khalid's direction. Seeing the prince look really angry, Akira couldn't help but feel nervous at the thought that Dion might really be in a dangerous spot.

"You should be the one to stay away from my Akira." Dion replied with his own cold and domineering tone, one that is not commonly heard from a mere commoner.

This angered Khalid more and Akira to worry more. "...Dion, Let's go. I'm.. tired," Akira said, trying to divert things away from the initial scene to avoid complicating things more than they already are.

He tugged on Dion's uniform to get the man's attention. Dion turned his head to Akira, seeing Akira's real intention—Dion sigh softly. "....I'm sorry," he muttered and made a small smile of apology.

Akira finally smiled in relief and nodded his head. "It's fine. And thank you.. for saving me." He gave Dion a soft and genuine smile, causing Dion to freeze for a bit at the sight and smile back. He grabbed Akira's hand and caressed the back of it gently.

"Shall we go?" Dion asked. Akira nodded his head.

"....Aki.... why?.... Why him?"

Diona and Akira turned towards Khalid, whose expression was hidden by his bangs. "....I would have accepted it if it's someone else... someone noble.... but him?" Khalid said in a whisper but loud enough to be heard by the two.

Akira stared at Khalid blankly, yet for some reason—a part deep inside him was aching, not that Akira wanted to explore the reason for it.

"....Your Highness, I will forget about today's event and disrespect. So, I hope in the future, you'll not repeat your mistakes. The matters between us before and the current one... I hope you can see that everything has changed, especially our relationship."

Akira felt his heart tighten in every word he uttered, but he kept being resolute—the words he said will be the line that will change things forever between him and the crown prince.

Akira sighed softly after saying those words and then glanced at Khalid. When the prince didn't say anything, he was about to turn away but halted when the prince finally lifted its head and showed its expression.

Akira widened his eyes in shock; his heart skipped a beat, and it hurts for some reason.

Khalid, the crown prince of the kingdom. The prince, known by Akira as a two-faced prince with a sadistic side, was crying.

Akira was about to lift his hand to reach out unconsciously; if it weren't for the feeling of Dion's gripped on his hand tightening, he might really be now on the prince side. Akira turned to Dion, and his eyes widen a bit. Dion was staring back at him. Those navy blue eyes seem to hold thousands of feelings, but one thing was certain and visible. 'Don't go.' It didn't need to be spoken; Akira can see it through.

Akira softened his gaze, as if seeing Dion's emotions was enough to calm him down and also to compose himself.

He reached out his hand to cupped Dion's cheek. "I'm not going anywhere," he said softly, reassuring Dion. Dion closed his eyes and leaned his head on Akira's hand.

"...Aki,"

Akira turned to Khalid, his eyes back to coldness.

"Your highness, please excuse us. We may seem stressed from studying too hard, so inevitable things happened. Now then, good bye." Akira turned around, with his hand holding Dion's. They walked away from the scene.

Khalid watched as Akira turned his back at him. And it feels as if the body and heart have gone cold. He glanced at Dion's leaving figure with a cold glare.

He wiped his own tears, hands turning into fists. The rough force made his hands shed blood.

"....Aki, you're mine."

He said it coldly and turned away with a gaze that could kill. Eyes filled with possessiveness and deep obsession.

------

Arriving at their dorm room, everything was silent. Dion was silent, and so was Akira.

Dion being silent since earlier is something that is understandable, and Akira was considerate enough not to disturb him.

Standing on the balcony, leaning on the railing as he stared at the starry sky, Akira felt complex feelings.

"....."

He bit his lower lips in frustration. The sight of the crown prince crying left him baffled. If it wasn't for Dion, would he really go to the prince side to comfort him?

Why does he feel sad?

In the game, AKira wasn't even close with the capture targets to begin with, so where were these emotions coming from?

Game. Why is it that everything that is happening is... now unfamiliar to him.

It's as if this is not the game he knows.

"Aki."

Akira felt Dion's embrace from behind. He doesn't move nor mind, maybe because he needs it too. He looked up at the sky as Dion buried his face on Akira's neck.

"....Don't leave me. "

Akira's eyes widened. Dion's voice seems to plead, as if it were scared of Akira abandoning him. "...I won't," Akira answered softly, despite his heart aching.

He only has two weeks before he will leave the country, as per the agreement he had with his father.

"..Promise me," Dion said and let go of Akira, grabbing Akira's hand to turn him around.

Akira looked up at Dion, staring for a while before smiling softly. "Shall we sleep? We have still class tomorrow," Akira said and entered the room while still holding Dion's hand.

Akira diverting the conversation was intentional as he can't promise anything.
