"Luke c'mon we are going to be late, what are you doing?" Manny groaned as he watched Luke take out a note from his backpack. He couldn't stop thinking about the piano girl, he even started asking Manny if he knew her since he knew his friend was interested in acting.

"I need to find her and talk to her again, I embarrassed myself in front of her and her friend, I wrote this so I won't forget anything", Luke rambled on again until Manny bumped his shoulder toward Luke.

"You know you could just go back to the auditorium right", Manny declared with a straight face and raising his eyebrows.

"Oh yea", Luke replied back with a grin on his face. The two boys walked into school. Not noticing the girl they were just talking about was just walking down the street with her two friends.

Maeve was tired and now annoyed by Jane's behavior so early in the morning. Theadosia was on the side looking on her phone to make sure her hair was perfect.

"Omg you think lover boy will talk to you, we should try to find him, Mae please" , Jane begged and was grabbing Mae's shoulder from behind and shaking her. Mae's lips screwed into irritation while she listened to Jane's rant about mystery boy. Thea's attention was redirected to the two girls next to her. Thea took notice of Mae's discomfort and clasped Jane's ear and pulled her towards her body as the dark haired girl whined into her chest.

"Jane enough, you know Mae is grumpy in the morning, so let her be" , Thea ordered, putting an arm over Jane's shoulder. Maeve's lips curled into a smile at her friend's actions. Thea intertwined her hand with Mae's and gave her a reassuring squeeze.

Maeve grabbed her wired headphones from her bag, plugged them into her phone and began to listen to music, in hopes that the day would go by quickly.

The girls separated once they walked inside the building since Maeve had math first while the other two had English. Maeve continued to walk with her headphones on so no one would bother her while she walked.

She preferred being on her own than having so many people crowd her. The only exception to this were her two best friends who were on the other side of the building. Most people who didn't know her would describe her to be really quiet.

She has always been like that since she was a little girl. Her mother worked as a nurse so she wasn't around all the time as she liked to be. Whenever her mother wasn't on call, the two would bake and have movie nights. Maeve loved how affectionate her mother would be when she comes home late and Mae is still up in her bedroom reading.

Her mother would jump out and scare the poor girl, then hold her in her arms until they both fell asleep. Maeve loved to bake, she got to learn from her mother. One of her favorite foods was her mother's pancakes, she didn't know what her mother did but they always came out to be so delicious. She would make them with this homemade syrup and strawberries on the side.

Even her friends complemented the girl's mother's cooking. They always joke how her mom is like Remy from Ratatouille because of how passionate her mom is with cooking.
