Tahir's phone pinged with a message again as same as it had been for last hour, last couple of days and the same as last month or so. The message tone itself was becoming a headache for him and he kept on wondering how he got himself in this drama when he had shown no interest whatsoever in partaking in it. The message was from Yasemin again and it read "I miss you, Tahir. I want to meet you".

The girl surely was assessing his patience and did not seem to bother on his lack of interest. Sure, she was beautiful and could get any man's attention in a second and lure a man into her fantasy world. But for Tahir she seemed shallow and delusional and did not really spike up any interest to converse or associate with.

He was not a prince living in a dream world yearning to meet with his fairy tale princess, he was a Mafia Lord running multiple businesses and fighting with the police day in and day out. The mere thought of a girl running behind him like this thinking he could be her knight in shining armor, made him laugh. Ignoring the message again as usual, he turned on the radio on his vehicle and headed towards the club.

"Toprak yağmura, ben sana

Aşık olduk yeniden

İmkansız gibi görünen

Bu mesele

Girdi aklıma her gece

Tanıdık bir melodi

Sen miydin sebebi

Söylesen.."

The beautiful voice of Can Ozan was spreading through the radio and entrapped his mind with its soulful melody. The song was about how someone comes along in your life and changes you, changes your ways and drowns you in love, how it has been like that throughout thousands of years as part of nature itself. The words and the melody were like a soothing balm to his soul.

He had never associated with feelings of love or romance, but secretly he always wondered how his life would be if he were not chosen for this dark path. If he were not in this world of mobsters, would he still be deprived of falling in love with a woman of his dreams, his soulmate, his cosmetic constant and be able to build a beautiful life with her?

Moments like these let his mind wander to far corners he would rather keep locked than inquire. His life was rough, not just now, but it has always been. Sometimes he wasn't sure whether he knows himself as a person at all and whether he can feel any deep emotions. Can he ever become vulnerable enough to let someone else really see through him? All these were questions that he was sure at this point was never going to get answered, and with that thought he accelerated the speed and drove towards the club.

Just as he was closing in on to the back entrance of the club, drowned in his thoughts, a woman crossed the road in front of his vehicle in a rush and he had to press the brakes in an instant to avoid her been struck by his vehicle. The vehicle came to a stop with a streaking noise of the brakes hit hard, and the woman turned her head in his direction startled by the commotion.

He could see her turning around to face him in almost slow motion, tucking her free-flowing strands of hair under her scarf in such haste and determinately. She was covered head to toe with a heavy jacket and boots and her face was barely visible through the mane of thick curly hair on her head and the piles of fabric in her scarf. His eyes scanned her when she turned around and he could see her lips trembling with cold as the chilled breeze was blowing around in the surroundings. Slowly his eyes met hers, and she looked at him with such audacity and such sharpness like a warrior princess that her look caught him completely off-guard and tingled with an unknown sensation through his mind.
