"Stop pacing, you're making me nauseous," the brunette warned, a hand running over her face.

Aspen furrowed her eyebrows at the girl's seemingly calm demeanour, "How aren't you freaking out right now?"

"I am," the girl sighed, eyes glued to her phone, as she continued her typing, "But I'm also trying to find the number for this place."

Lips parted in realisation, Asp furrowed her brows, taking out her phone and looking through her texts with Eve, "My agent sent me it a bit ago, hold on."

Jenna furrowed her brows, stopping her own search to mentally motivate the girl. Her eyes lit up once she had found it, quickly clicking on the call button, the ringing filling the elevator.

"Here," she handed Jenna her phone, clearly not wanting to speak about somehow getting locked in a lift.

The brunette sighed, taking her phone from the girl and putting it to her ear. Aspen watched with her bottom lip tucked into her mouth, continuing her pacing. After a while, Jenna let out a small sigh, the other actress blocking out all words, stopping in her tracks to try to pay attention.

"Okay. Bye," Jenna groaned, the call ending as she handed Aspen her phone back.

The girl glanced at the actress, eyebrows raised as her eyes scanned her expression, "So?"

"They said it could range anywhere from thirty minutes," Jenna started, the black girl wondering what the latest was, eyeing the girl, "To three hours."

"You're joking," Aspen let out a laugh of disbelief, not believing the girl.

Jenna shook her head with a small sigh, leaning against the banister of the lift, shaking her head. The other girl did the same, letting out a long breath and taking a seat on the floor of the lift, legs clearly tired from pacing around so much.

"The floor's dirty," Jenna told the girl, as if she didn't know that already.

Aspen rolled her eyes, fiddling with her phone, "Well my legs are killing me. I'm not going to stay standing for three hours, Jenna."

Sighing at the girl's reply, the brunette shook her head, turning her phone back on. The other girl unintentionally mirrored her actions, scrolling through a couple of tiktoks, just glad that there was signal in the lift.

About ten minutes had passed, the two girls barely even glancing at each other, awkwardness filling the isolated space. Aspen sighed, cringing at the silence, bar the faint noises from both of their phones.

"So," She droned on, locking her phone, mind scanning for a conversation starter. She figured that she might as well if they were going to be stuck in there for at least twenty more minutes.

Jenna turned to face the girl at her word, eyes dropping to her phone that was now in her lap.

"What's your favourite scary movie?" She named something off the top of her head, now practically voicing the words of her character.

Jenna let out a small breath, the ghost of a smile appearing on her face, feigning annoyance, "What, did your phone die or something?"

Asp shook her head, her eyes scanning the girl and waiting for her answer. She shifted in her spot on the floor, straightening her back against the wall of the lift.

"Wouldn't really say its my favourite, but Prom night's good," The brunette told the girl, "I used to watch it religously."

Aspen laughed at the girl's answer, taking her bottom lip into her mouth, "I'll add it to my watch list."

Jenna smiled for the first time since they had entered the lift. The black girl grinned at her happy face, gesturing down to the spot beisde her when she saw the brunette move her feet, clearly uncomfortable with standing.

She sighed, knowing that it was probably smarter to sit down, rather than stay standing for (at least) twenty more minutes. Sitting down close to Aspen, she turned to look at her, "What's yours?"

"I dont think I have one,"Aspen hummed. She was terrible with favourites. Thinking back to movies she had recently watched, she answered, "I mean, Happy Death Day's a classic."

"Oh my god, with Jessica Rothe?" Aspen nodded in reply, holding back a grin at the way Jenna was beaming, her freckles becoming more apparent, "I love her movies."

"Thats the only one I've seen, to be honest," She looks at the girl, hands finding her pocket to slip her phone into.

"You've never watched La La Land?"

With furrowed brows, As eyed the girl, not being able to stop the smile from spreading across her face, as she shook her head, "Should I have?"

Jenna laughed in disbelief, shaking her head and looking away from the girl, "We should- all watch it soon."

The girl nodded, fiddling with her bracelet, "It better be good."

"No promises," Jen laughed, putting her hands up in fake defense. Aspen giggled, their laughter fusing before it died down.

Aspen sighed, leaning her head back against the metal wall, "Thanks again for fixing my bracelet."

"Of course," She replied, eyes raking across the peiece of jewellery that she had fixed, "Seemed important."

"It is," She nodded, tracing her fingers across the small beads, seeing Jenna's curiosity but it was clear she didn't want to pry, "It's my dads. He- uh- he passed away last summer."

"Oh, I'm sorry," Jenna said sincerley, gaze fixated on Aspen's face, now feeling immensly guilty for breaking it and even more so adding another bead.

"It's fine," The Britt assured her, drumming her fingers along the side of her leg, deciding ti chabge the subject, "I'm sorry about splashing coffee all over you. And laughing." She added, avoiding eye contact with the girl, a small smirk on her lips.

Brown eyes turned to face her, scanning her expression, "It's alright." Jenna laughed, taking her bottom lip into her mouth, "I got you back like a week later."

The girls laughed, remembering how they had both somehow managed to spill a drink on and ruin the other's outfit.

The two sat in a comfortable silence for a couple of minutes, each of them somehow, sort-of, enjoying the other's presence.

"Jenna?"

The brunette hummed, turning to face Aspen, her eyes dancing along her face. The other girl smiled, maintaining eye contact.

"The floor's dirty," She joked, repeating Jenna's earlier words, making Jenna let out a chuckle.

She laughed, face scrunching up. The other actor's eyes zoned in on her facial features, watching as she playfully pushed Aspen's shoulder, "Oh, shut up."
