Chapter 7 - The Unexpected Encounter
Jazz's eyes locked onto the figure, her mind racing with questions. Who was this person? Why were they hiding in the shadows?
As the figure stepped forward, Jazz's heart skipped a beat. It was her estranged mother, Aurora, who had abandoned her and her father years ago.
Aurora's eyes were filled with a mix of emotions - guilt, regret, and longing. "Jazz, my dear, I'm so proud of you," she said, her voice trembling.
Jazz was taken aback, unsure how to react. She had always wondered why her mother left, and now, here she was, witnessing her mother's tears.
"Why did you come back now?" Jazz asked, her voice guarded.
Aurora took a deep breath. "I heard about your campaign, your message of inclusivity and acceptance. I realized I was wrong to leave, wrong to hide from my own mistakes. I want to make amends, Jazz. I want to be a part of your life again."
Jazz was torn, unsure if she could forgive and trust her mother again. But as she looked into Aurora's eyes, she saw a glimmer of hope...
