For the rest of the day my concentration was blown. My mind couldn't wrap around the simplest of concepts.
Shego in sexy pajamas blew the fuses in my brain.
How was Ron going to react? He was my best friend, I had suspicions of him crushing on me, but nothing more.
He wouldn't mind, right? He had a gay aunt. Come to think of it... I think everyone may have a gay aunt.Anyway, I was buzzing with nerves after I left science. I spotted Ron at his locker and determined the best course of action would be direct.
He was struggling to pack another textbook into his already loaded backpack.
"Ron I need to talk to you." I said, waiting for him to look up.
He didn't. Ron continued to smash his textbook into the bag.
"It's important."He gave a noncommittal grunt. I was started to get annoyed. As my backup, shouldn't he be on high alert to know what Shego was doing?
"I'm gay. Shego's building a bomb." I said, breaking his concentration.
"Are you just trying to get my attention or are you gay and Shego's building a bomb?" He asked, a puzzled expression settled over his features.
He always looked a little confused; that was just his face, but his eyebrows now rose to his hairline.
"Both. Shego's going to blow up Drakkon's lab. I'm working with her." I filled him in. I didn't mention the hots I was feeling for Shego. It would be too much for him to process.
"How do you know you're gay?" He asked, still confused.
That's the shocking thing he chose to dwell on in that sentence?
"I keep on daydreaming about banging girls and get all weird when they do things like change in front of me." A faint blush rose to my cheeks.
"How long have you known?" He asked in a forced casual tone. I hoped to god he wasn't going to be weird about it.
"I've had my suspicions for a long time. I just realized..." I drifted off. I realized with Shego.
"Oh. Alright then. Why is Shego blowing up Drakkon?" He asked, slinging his bag over his shoulder. It was unzipped and the book stuck five inches from the top.
"I don't know but we're meeting after school at her place."
How could I forget to ask why she had such a change of heart.
"Are you sure it's not a trap?" Inquired Ron. "Do you trust her this quickly?"
"No." I answered sharply. "Of course not. She's under strict supervision of course."
Did he think I had a soft spot for her? Why would I trust her quickly in HIS head?
I told myself not to be so paranoid and kept pace with him down the hall.
"I'll see you later!" I called as I took the sidewalk to my car. That could've gone worse.
To my shock, when I reached my car there was already someone in the passenger seat. The window was down and her long legs hung out the window.
"Uh. Hi Shego. What exactly... uh, why are you in my car?" I stammered.
"I'm blending in with the highschoolers." She gestured to her hip outfit and sunglasses.
"Any particular reason?" I asked, still missing the point.
"We're going out to discuss these terms of business over a coffee." She lifted an eyebrow when I didn't move. "What are you waiting for? C'mon. This hangover won't soothe itself."
I laughed and jumped in the drivers seat, cranked the car and maneuvered my way out of the parking lot.
"What made you switch teams?" I asked curiously.
"Drakkon is a dickhead and he's not very smart. Why work for a losing team? You'll just come in and save the day, Princess. You always do."
I smirked a little. "Yeah. Well it's my job."
"Go team good guys." She said, looking slightly annoyed.
"It's more fun than you would think." I said in an attempt to keep her cheerful.
"You're... A very good girl." She grinned. "There's no fun there."
"Who says I'm a good girl?" I asked disdainfully.
"I bet you don't do regular teenager things like smoke weed and drink and make out with boys." She teased.
"I don't kiss boys. I've never really cared for them. Other things? Check." I winked at her. Was there a discreet way to tell her she was hot AF?
I did do those things, I wasn't even bluffing."Me neither." She said, giving me a long sultry look.
