Chapter~9

Evelyn POV

"JUST LEAVE RIGHT NOW."

Hearing my voice, the guards came in.

"Mam do you need anything."

I gave them a shot glare and said,

"Just ask her to leave."

Just then a bullet was fired straight into her head. My eyes went in the direction from the origin of the bullet and my face turned into shock and horror.

Steps backing off with each step coming towards me until my back hits the wall.

"Tris.. trist.."
No words came out of my mouth.

" So you woke up. "
He said in his deep husky voice which sent shivers down my spine.

Since no words were coming out of my mouth, I just vigorously nodded to which he came closer and closer and grabbing my chin, he made me look straight into his eyes.

"I want words you murderer."

My eyes welled up by hearing this yet I managed to speak.

"Ye.. yes."

He chuckled darkly and went straight to the bed and sat.

Ordering the guards to clean the mess, he turned his attention to me and said,

"I'm leaving for a week. Don't you dare mend in any of my business till I come back and don't even think of running away because there's no way that I can't find you again. And I swear if it happens, you'll have to face the worst consequences ever."

He finally stood up. I relaxed my shoulder hearing he's finally leaving.

He was about to leave when he suddenly stopped and turned around making me again stand straight with a startle.

"And remember, mom is definitely not gonna stay here with a murderer like you. So don't dream of killing someone again."

I held my head down and nodded a little while he made his way out of the room shutting the door with great force that it made a thud sound.

I sighed in relief and sat on the bed.

After 5 mins of freshening up, I made my way towards my cupboard and took out a bag packing everything necessary I needed.

From all sorts of bullets to guns and snipers, I was expert in all. I kept the trackers and important of all, my iPad.

I opened it and searched for the information about where is his mission is. He forgot to snatch it away from me. But I am loyal to my work even if it is being this jerk's bodyguard.

I grabbed all the information, places and the traps they might have put up to entertain him up.

After a while, I saw array of cars going down the lane out of the mansion.

That's when I began up with my plan.

Getting up from the bed, I took a mask along with me and made my way towards the hall. Everyone was busy with their own works. Thankfully no one saw me yet.

Fusing the gas bomb which has sleeping drugs mixed in it, I went towards the door of the secret gate in the house.

Firstly I made sure everyone was fall asleep because if anyone would see me, Tristan will beat the shit out of me.

With cautious steps, I made it out of the mansion. Everything was fine until I saw Ace standing right in front of me leaned against the car with his powerful smirk on his face . 

"So my dear sister-in-law, you thought you'd run away so easily?" 

He said making his steps towards me. At once I thought of running away which I easily could have done but dropped the idea as soon as I heard him saying.

"Looks like your family is really important for you isn't it?"

"Tristan..."

"Hannah..."

"Arika..."

My heart dropped as soon as I heard him saying Arika's name. My steps halted. 

"Be mine Evelyn. We will together destroy Tristan."

"Never. Never will I ever be yours."

I shouted at him. 

"Oh! Is that so my sweet daughter-in-law?"

I turned around to see Mrs Rinehart standing there. 

"Not even you're gonna be mine if I show you this?"

He diverted my attention to the screen in which a video was played where Hannah and Arika were tied up. 

"Don't Ace. Don't you dare even try touching them."

Both Mrs Rinehart and Ace were busy laughing like a maniac when I spotted the correct moment and attacked at Ace. 

With the well built karate techniques, I managed to knock him down. Poor him never knew why Tristan kept me as his bodyguard rather than thousands of men. 

That last punch that could make him dead too failed just when he injected something into my body causing me to faint instantly. 

Author POV

After hard struggles of Evelyn fighting with Ace, Ace finally decided to make her go unconscious. 

"This Tristan's little piece of shit is really something. No wonder why she was his bodyguard."

"She is! Ace. Now tie her up too with her family before some guard comes to check upon this area."

"Yes mom. I'll make your life go hell, Mr Tristan Rinehart. No one will believe but she'll be mine soon. Not even you could stop me."

Laughing like a maniac, Ace took her in his arms and made his way to the basement tying her off on a chair and shutting the door with a loud thud and leaving. 

~A long time later~

Evelyn woke up with a heavy head and not knowing her surrounding she said,

"Where the hell on this earth this son of bitch packed me up?"

But her eyes widened as soon as she heard,

"Stop cursing mommy."
