As Felix stepped away to answer the call, Hyunjin watched him with a mix of curiosity and concern.

He could sense the tension in Felix's voice as he spoke, his expression clouded with frustration and anxiety.

Even though he couldn't quite hear what Felix was saying, the urgency was palpable.

Hyunjin shifted uncomfortably, unsure of what to do or say in this sudden moment of interruption.

He glanced around, trying to find something to occupy his thoughts while Felix finished his call.

Why is life so damn hard when it comes to the freckled shortie? he wondered.

Felix had a way of making everything more complicated... but also more meaningful.

The boy that had opened his eyes, that made him realize he didn't deserve to die, actually... He realized that. Kind of.

The seconds ticked by slowly, each one feeling like an eternity as Hyunjin waited for Felix to return.

His mind raced with questions, wondering what could be so urgent that it had to interrupt their conversation and make Felix seem so rigid.

Finally, Felix returned, his features tense and troubled as he reconnected with Hyunjin.

Hyunjin hesitated, unsure if he should ask about the call or let it go. But the curiosity gnawed at him, and he couldn't resist.

Hy: Everything alright?

Fe: Yeah, just some... family problems...

Hy: Is everything okay?

Fe: Yeah, yeah, it's just... complicated. But don't worry about it.

Hyunjin nodded, though his mind was still filled with questions.

He wanted to press further, to understand what was going on in Felix's life, but he held back, not wanting to pry.

Fe: Oh... What were you saying?

Right. Hyunjin had literally been about to muster up the courage to say some important words, but now the moment felt shattered, the motivation gone.

Hy: Never mind. It’s not important right now.

Felix looked at him, sensing there was more to it, but he didn’t push.

The air between them was thick with unspoken words and unresolved tension.

They started walking again, the silence heavy but not entirely uncomfortable..

Just as they were about to reach the park's exit, the sound of hurried footsteps behind them caught Felix's attention.

He turned, eyes widening as he saw a group of shadowy figures approaching rapidly..fuck this..

Fe: Hyunjin, we need to go. Now!

Hy: What? Why? Who are they?-

Fe: No time to explain- Just run!

Without another word, they sprinted down the path, the figures closing in on them.

Felix's heart pounded as he led Hyunjin through a maze of streets, trying to shake their pursuers.

But it was clear these people were trained, like Felix, relentless in their pursuit.

And Hyunjin could keep up very well with Felix tho.. and maybe he'd easily run faster than him with just a bit of exercise.. but since Felix trained all of his life... Hyunjin is really good..

They ducked into an alleyway, Felix scanning for a way out..

He spotted a fire escape ladder and pointed.

Fe: Up there!

They scrambled up the ladder, reaching the rooftop just as the first of their pursuers entered the alley below.

Felix pulled Hyunjin along the rooftops, jumping from one building to the next, adrenaline fueling their escape... Just like in the movies..but this is the reality.. and death is just around the corner..

Finally, they reached a safer distance and paused to catch their breath..

Felix glanced around, ensuring they weren't followed,breathing heavily,then turned to Hyunjin.. yet he doesn't know why he feels so powerless right now..he feels..fear..

Fe: We should be safe here for a bit...I.. Sorry..about that. Those people... they're after me.

Hy: Why? What's going on, Felix?

Fe: It's... complicated. But..I promise, I'll explain everything soon. Right now, we just need to stay safe.

Hyunjin nodded, though his mind was still spinning with confusion and worry.

He could see the fear in Felix's eyes, and it made him realize just how serious this situation was. All he wants to do now is to hug the freckled boy, kiss him and reassure him..but maybe the situation is not to appropriate for that..

Hy: Okay. But you better keep that promise.

Felix managed a small, strained smile.

Fe: I will..

They found a hidden spot on the rooftop to sit and rest, trying to make sense of everything.

As the city buzzed below them, Felix knew they were running out of time.

He had to protect Hyunjin, no matter what.. Since, those people..are working for his father..

The thought of what he was supposed to do—kill him—gnawed at his conscience, but he couldn't bring himself to accept it..

The night deepened, and Felix’s phone buzzed again.

He glanced at the message and felt a cold dread settle over him..

Unknown number:
> Felix, your time is almost up. Finish the mission.

Felix’s mind raced. He needed a plan, something to save Hyunjin and stop this madness.

He looked at Hyunjin, who was staring out at the city, seemingly lost in thought but when he noticed the expression of Felix's face he cuped his face in his hands

Hy: Felix... whatever it is, we can face it together.

Felix swallowed hard, the weight of his decision pressing down on him.

He knew he couldn’t keep this secret much longer. But for now, they needed to stay hidden and figure out their next move.

And..today.."his last day"...is almost over

Fe: ..Hyunjin...I..You...We..
