prologue

I know nothing can ever be the same here. not after you thought it was ok. I just wanted to be with you until we both die. but you didn't seem to care. so here I am having to raise my kits alone, because you left. I thought I would have to see my kits grow up and with no father always asking if he even cared about them.And it thought until I met him. At first I thought he would be just like you. Stubborn,selfish,rude. But no. He was kind, a good storyteller, and fun. Even my kits like him. At first I thought he was coming to say sorry, and how I was right. But no he wasn't. And that day was even better. Even though he liked you he was better and kinder. We would go out and have fun, and he would tell me about the clans, and what life there was like. I knew he would be the one I loved and never was going to leave. And he didn't leave. He came every day and told me his stories and what life there was like. I loved him even more than I ever loved you. and I was proud of that. I really was.But then one day. Everything changed. I just left the kits alone with one of my friends for the day, because I wanted to hang out with you longer. But.. nothing every. Goes. your. WAY. and just like that. They were gone. Hit just like that by a car. My friend died pushing ice out of the way, and was hit by the car. At the same time as my other two kits. And poor ice had to see everything. And when i came back. I was in horror of what had happened. And as the days went by, I just knew I had to do something about this. I thought that twoleg place was too dangerous to raise kits in. So I asked him the question. If i could join him in a clan. But he never returned after the accident. But as the moons went by. He did. And when he did his leader came with him. And when i asked. He said yes!
