-Rody's Pov-

Vincent scoffs.
"That's hardly my fault, seeing as I can't taste anything."

I nod, then adding,
"Yes, well you could hire a damn sous chef to keep your shitty food from, oh I don't know, tasting shitty?"

Vincent sighs, running a hand over his face.
"Well fuck you too."

I smile sweetly at him, tilting my head to the side then saying,
"You already did that, babes."

Vincent groans.
"You little-"

Vincent's mom walks out, arms crossed, smirking. "I knew it."

Vince, for the first time that I've seen looks the slightest bit embarrassed. He looks up at his mom. "What do you mean?"

She chuckles, shaking her head. "Why the fact you have the hots for Diane's sweet son, Rody, over here."

Vincent scoffs, "As if. He's an imbecile."

I chuckle, raising an eyebrow at Vince's words. "Awh.. But the other night when we were alone In your bedroom you said you loved me, Vincey~"
I tease, knowing damn well it'll get under his skin.

Lilith, Vince's mom, looks down at him letting out a snicker.
"What's this now?"

Vincent grits through his teeth.
"You're so fucking lucky, Lamoree."
Then looking up at his mom.
"I had Rody stay after closing hours at my bistro, mother. As simple as that, nothing more.

Lilith rolls her eyes, sitting down on the porch with us.
"You expect me to believe that? I heard your entire conversation, dear. I know what you said."

She pauses

"It's not like I'm gonna be mad because you both like a little dick- well I guess most people would, but I won't."

Vincent lets out a sigh of relief and Lilith pats him on the back.

She then turns to face me

"Rody, honey, does your mother know about this?"

Before I get a chance to say anything my mom comes out to the porch, confused.
"Do I know about what?"
Her eyes dart to me, then Vince, then Lilith.

Me and Vince stand up as we hear her voice, I'm at a loss for what to do, I look at him for help, but he doesn't seem to know what to do either.

I then hold Vince's hand and I nervously say,
"Uhm.. Mom, I like men, but also women..? I-.."
I sigh
"I like both, I guess? And I like Vincent, more than him being my boss or being friends, and we're-"

Vincent cuts me off
"Dating, we're dating Diane. Your son seems to be infatuated with me, and I've grown quite fond of him."

My mom seems to process this for a moment them hugs me tightly.
"Sweetie.. You know I would never, and I mean never judge you for who you love, right? You're my son, you're too important to lose you over something as simple as who you choose to love. And I'm so, so happy you found someone who you love and who loves you back.."

She eventually pulls away and cups my face in her hands,
"Rody, my sweet boy, you are perfect in my eyes. No matter what, I will always love you."

My eyes start to water and Vince hugs me, stroking my hair, and I can't help but smile. I haven't felt this happy since-... Since Manon.

I gently pull away, and wipe my tears.

It's Callum!! And ngl guys, kinda funny how I made Rody come out to his mom during pride month. (¬‿¬ )
