A/N: This Chapter took longer than expected. As I took a little break because of wrist has been hurting and I couldn't write. Also besides rewriting this story and the Steven Universe story I've had like three ideas for a fanfiction I want to write. So at the moment my brain is jumping between the three ideas and the two fanfics I'm writing. Now I only have to decide, which idea I'm going to work on next. I am kinda itching to write a "character react/watch/read the story" fanfiction (like I did with Harry Potter). Although I'll probably won't post it on this side as HP fanfiction was deleted from her. I'll probably use Archivofourown since as far as I've seen it is way more forgiving to these kind of stories.
Anyway, have fun with the new Chapter.
Mikasa watches as Luffy jumps onto the mast and rushes towards Don Krieg.
"Don't get your hopes up!" Don Krieg exclaims and throws something into the water, which splashes the water and blocks Luffy's vision. "You're dead meat now!"
Mikasa has her arms crossed and narrows her eyes as Don Krieg shoots stakes at Luffy, who dodges some of them, but hits him in the back of his leg.
"You lousy jerk! Do you want to fight!?" Luffy exclaims as he pulls the stake out of his leg and places his head on the floor.
"Do I "want" do fight? I don't require desire. Battle demands only the tools and methods of death! That's armed might, my boy. All you can do is charge in like a monkey" Don Krieg tells Luffy with a grin.
"This monkey's gonna give you a nasty scratching!" Luffy tells him.
I had not being able to interfere even though I know Luffy can handle it Mikasa thinks with a frown.
"Luffy! Focus!" She exclaims and pinches the bride of her nose before she glances at Gin and Sanji.
Gin has Sanji pinned down with one of his tonfas pressed against Sanji's neck.
"Go on, finish him, Gin!" Don Krieg orders him and laughs.
Mikasa narrows her eyes and stares at Gin and Sanji as she can see tears running down Gin's cheeks.
"I can't do it, Don Krieg!" Gin yells, which shocks everyone and angers Don Krieg. "I can't kill this man!"
"What did you say?!" Don Krieg asks angrily. "Say that again if you dare!"
"Because that was the first time in my life that anybody was ever kind to me. I...I can't kill this man!" Gin cries and covers his eyes.
Mikasa's expression softens slightly before she looks at Don Krieg and lets out a cold breath as she knows that something very bad is going to happen soon.
"You can't bring yourself to kill him? You disappoint me, Gin. I thought that you, of all my men, would faithfully execute the principles of Krieg's Pirates. I named you battle commander of my pirate armada because of your strength and ruthlessness in the pursuit of victory. I believed that you were unsurpassed in these things," Don Krieg scoffs at Gin with disgust and disappointment in his tone.
