Cayn was damn sure that the old man that was standing at the other end of the river was going to jump in the river but little did he know he was not that right?
He took a little bite from his crispy bread burger and looked back at the old man over the river with a companion this time who was an old woman in her mid fifties or something. He focused on the couple very deeply who now has locked their hands together, taking few steps back from the river.
Cayn Meynord didn't know what was that he was witnessing but for his defence he was sure if was a pure friendship between an old woman and an old man but are people of this age are this cool enough to hang out beside a chill river?
"I wasn't sure if I will find you here but It's great that I did." The friendly voice that came from the tall man standing beside Cayn was Jack, the only friend Cayn allows to be this close.
"Finding me?" Cayn confusedly asked because he would be last person on earth someone can look for.
"Yes. I was finding you to give you this invitation card." Jack handed a red card with a golden ribbon around it. At first glance it looks like a wedding card but Jack knew very well that Cayn would never attend any wedding so asking him to join one would be crazy.
"A card..I never attend-"
"Your boy's getting married!" And that made Cayn a little more excited and confused than he already was before. He didn't know that Boy beside him has already became so old that he is getting married already.
"Oh my God, Jack. When? How?" Cayn gave Jack a brother hug with a wide smile in his face which says already that Jack has finally asked his girlfriend to be his wife.
"Well, last week. I will fill in the details when I can and I would have told you sooner but surprise, Cayn meynord." Jack smiled widely as he addressed Cayn with his full name just to tease him.
Ignoring Jack's tease, Cayn unfolded the card in his hand which has the date written on it along with the Xia's name in some gold italics. Although Cayn has no complain with his friend but he surely has complains about the card in his hand with that ridiculous red and gold theme.
In the end of the card there was a name that caught the attention of Cayn because it also answered his question about the red card.
Jae Wen
If he was to ask Jack who was Jae Wen then he would rather eat Some rat poison than asking the boy about the ridiculous choice man.
"I am taking you with me this afternoon. The marriage is taking place in a palace in the centre of LA, at Xi's grandma's palace.. " Jack cleared his throat while speaking.
"Why are you taking me today?" Cayn asked knowing that the marriage is almost after two weeks.
".......You are my best man. I can't effort to miss you on my best things, Mate."
"You never asked me to be your best man and you already know that It's ridiculous to ask someone to be your best man this way." Cayn teased with a smile in his face. Jack made a requesting face as he knew Cayn would agree to be his best man among all of his nasty friends except for the only sane person Cayn who also suits the place of being a best man the best.
Cayn and Jack was out of Cayn's house around six in the evening when a personal helicopter arrived to collect them. Jack, the typical white man with a very buff body was dressed in full white only because he didn't want to look messy in front of Xia's grandma unlike Cayn who has a basic polo short on in a very low beige color because of the heat that was being waved around NYC.
The helicopter ride wasn't that long with only two men talking here and there. Cayn noticed a white palace near a restaurant pretty soon when he realized it was the one they were staying in and it also is surprising that Jack took him here long before the wedding.
"Welcome back, sir." A guard waiting in the heli pad welcome the males while they land. Cayn wasn't unfamiliar with these acts so he didn't felt awkward but he knew once he had to meet everyone and stay here, he will definitely feel awkward.
"Do I also have to stay here?" Cayn pointed at the palace in front of him which make Jack a little laugh because no one else knew his best man better than him.
"Lee, arrange a hotel suite for my friend. Make sure It's in the quietest place." Jack told the guard without giving Cayn his answer but the answer was already given so the brunet didn't argue further.
Both of them entered the luxurious living room that comes very first once you enter the palace. Although it was nothing less than an average rich asian Cayn has seen so far. The house was extremely decorated with lots of colors which usually isn't normal for british houses but who Cayn was to complain and now that he thinks of it, the red ridiculous card makes sense.
"Cayn, just take a shower at Jae's room for now, you will meet everyone at dinner and I'm going to see Xia first." Jack showed the room that was at the corner of the second floor while he rushed out of the living room to some door which Cayn could hardly point out. Although Cayn felt like Jack was pushing his limits but It's his wedding so this is the least Cayn can do to give the boy his best.
The brunet walked towards the corner room with a white door and a red charm hanging right in the upper middle of the door. Jae wen?
The name that popped in his mind was absolutely because of the red charm and the name that was printed on the red ridiculous card. Gosh it was so annoying to Cayn!
He knocked on the door few times but it didn't look like someone had the intention to open the wooden door. Cayn did what a grown man would do, he entered the room with pure intentions but the next thing was much more disturbing than the red ridiculous card.
It wasn't the messy room filled with clothes, neither the open closet and the nasty table filled with books but it was the boy that was sleeping peacefully on the bed with nothing but just an underwear on. It irked the back of Cayn's head. It irked his body too.
He debated with himself for few minutes if he actually wants to take a shower in this room or just wanna run back to New work which sounds like a better idea to the brunet but it will also look very very rude to his best friend and only friend if he was being honest.
The older took another glance at the laying body on the bed. It was a boy, most probably in his early twenties. The clenched abs were popping out as Cayn kept peeking at the body of the younger male on the bed but in the end he realized, he will never in his life take a shower in a bathroom with a room that's this nasty. He turned towards the way he came here but a deep voice stopped him on his way back which was something he didn't realize.
"Welcome to my room"
