Happy Birthday to me!

9:00am

It was a Monday Morning, the first day, second week of spring break [in this story, spring break is for two weeks, just to fit the plot] You were catching up on your sleep, since you didn't easily fall asleep last night. You were so tired, that you didn't hear your boyfriend enter your room.

"Rise and shine, cupcake! Do you know what day it is?" Kiri smiled as he gently pushed your arm.

"Hmm, what day is it? Monday?" You replied groggily.

"Yes...but what else?"

"What do you mean 'what else'?"

"Silly, did you forget? Today is your birthday!"

Oh shoot. I was so preoccupied with school and my boyfriend that I completely forgot about it.

"Really?" You acted surprised.

"Yep. Now come on, I have something to show you."

You got out of bed, and walked behind him into the living room unprepared for what you were about to see. On the table lied your favorite panacakes [Mine's so far is chocolate], a tray of sprinkled cookies, and a birthday card. You stared at it in shock, jaws wide open.

"Kirishima...this is too much. I can't accept this."

"Nothing's ever too much for you, my little sunshine. This is just one of the billion ways in the world that I can express as to how much I love you." He gave you a big smile.

Tears started to sting your face, as he embraced you into a deep hug. This was one of the best surprises you've ever seen. In fact, this might be the best one yet.

"I can't believe you did all of this...for me." You were still in shock.

"You have to believe it. It's what I can do for you, as your boyfriend and all."

With a smile on your face, you gave him a passionate kiss. He kissed you back, before you went and started to eat the panacakes.

After you finished eating, you grabbed your keys, phone, and headphones, and stepped outside to take a little nature walk. Taking nature walks, especially since you lived nearby a nature park, was a great way for you to cheer up or calm down when you're angry. The views from the rivers and the melodies sung by the birds make you feel at a mind of peace. The walk was only to last a couple of minutes, before you decided to turn back home.

On your way there, you encounter Mina, who you don't recall living anywhere near you.

"Hey Mina, what's up?"

"I just wanted to wish you a happy birthday!" She exclaimed with a warm smile.

"Thanks! I appreciate it." You replied as you tried to walk around her, but she stopped you.

"Uhh, wanna go shopping with me? We could buy some clothes together and eat out as a present."

"I appreciate it, but I'll pass." You were starting to get a little pissed.

"Pleaseeeeee~~~" She begged you.

Who could get mad at her? You sighed.

"Alright, let's go."

"Yay! I know exactly where to go."

You thought she was acting weird. More than normal, but you shrugged off that feeling and walked to the mall with her.

Once you arrived there, you caught your eyes on this green emerald dress displayed on the mannequin in front of a clothing store. Seeing you stare at it, Mina decides to do something about it.

"Do you want me to buy you that dress?" She offered.

"Oh, no. I was just admiring how beautiful it was. Besides, it probably won't fit me." You looked down in shame.

"No you're not! Stop over-analyzing yourself. You look beautiful just the way you are. At least, that's how your boyfriend would say it."

Right...Kirishima would probably say the same thing.

"And even if it doesn't fit you, there are a thousand different sizes that you can try it on! Nothing's wrong with being yourself." She said reassuringly.

"Okay! Let's go then!" You replied in a cheerful mood.

Kirishima's POV

Alright. I got Mina's text. Y/n would be preoccupied for a while. Good. My plan is almost complete. I got the cake, the decorations, and the rest of both my friends and her friends hanging out by the living room. We're planning to throw a surprise party. I know I did a lot for her this morning, but for some reason, it didn't feel like enough. Now, all I need is for the gift to arrive-

"Here I am!" Denki busted into the living room, holding a small gift, while trying to catch his breath.

"Oh you made it! Thank god, I was getting worried." I could finally breathe a sigh of relief.

Whew.

Now all we had to do was wait for Y/n to come back.

Normal POV

After you tried on the emerald dress, the two of you proceeded to shop for five more dresses each, before grabbing a pretzel from the pretzel stand and driving home.

"That was a lot of fun, wasn't it?" Mina said excitedly.

"You bet! Just look at all the dresses that we got." You stared admiringly at the emerald dress.

"Omg, I can't WAIT to go home and relax. Shopping is tiring."

"Fr. I wish I could relax, but I have a feeling that when I come back, there might be some sort of surprise waiting for me-"

"Wdym." Mina cut you off.

"What you mean, 'what do you mean'? It's just a feeling."

"Oh..right." She laughed nervously.

You stared at her suspiciously. Mina was the kind of person who was not awkward at all, so you didn't understand what was going on today, but you wanted to get to the bottom of this.

"You've been acting a little more strange than usual. You good?"

"Yeah...maybe it's because I'm tired?"

"That can't be so. Come on, tell me. What is it? You can trust me."

"It's nothing..." Mina looked away from your eyes, avoiding contact.

"No, it's not nothing. Tell me now." You were starting to get angry.

"Just wait until we're home, will ya? We're almost there."

"Yeah right." You scoffed as you laid your head to the back of your seat. Shopping had really drained your energy, as you started to drift off to sleep.

~5 minutes later~

"Y/n? Wake up, we're home." You slowly opened your eyes and started to walk towards the entrance right behind Mina.

Why is it so dark. You went to turn on the lights.

"SURPRISE! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Y/N!"

You were shocked. You never knew that all this time your friends were planning a surprise birthday party for you. Tears of joy poured down your face. Now it all made sense. Mina was acting strange and dodging your questions because she didn't want to accidentally say something that might ruin the surprise.

"Happy birthday, babe! I know that I made a pre-birthday surprise for you earlier, but I wanted to do something bigger; to prove how much I love you, and would do anything to see your cute little smile again." He cupped your chin and gave you a soft small kiss. A group of aw's was heard in unison.

For the rest of the day, you were enjoying yourself; having fun with your friends and boyfriend as the day was coming to a close.
