*Lisa's POV*

A Few Days Later.

"Ms. Y/L/N, I need your signature here." I said, pointing to the blank space on the report, standing beside Y/N in her office.

She nodded and proceeded to sign it before closing the report and handing it to me. Her eyes were fixed on my face, but I didn't look at her. It had been like this nowadays. I have been trying my best to avoid her altogether.

She still comes by every other day to the apartment to sleep. Some days, we would have dinner together if she says she's hungry. Some days we watch a movie or something like that. But we act like total strangers just forced to co-habit. Well, mainly me because she doesn't really keep her eyes off me when it's just us.

Y/N keeps looking at me like a lost puppy. Her orbs are full of hope, which I don't know for what. Her eyes scream pain.

That's the main reason I don't even look at her these days. If I look into her eyes, I might cave in and fall into her arms.

I miss her so much. I miss her warmth, her breath, her heartbeats, our meaningless conversations, and so much more.

"Is there something you want to tell me?" She asked me softly, seeing me fidgeting.

After she yelled at me that day when Rosie came, though she had apologized to me that night itself, it felt like Y/N was being extra careful in talking to me.

"Actually, yes." I said faintly.

"What happened?"

"I need to leave early today."

"Why? Is everything okay with Marco?" She questioned, concerned.

My heart twisted thinking that she cared about my Dad.

No, no! I shouldn't.

"Yeah, yeah. He's fine. It's just... it's something else." I paused, and Y/N waited. "Rosie is organizing a party tonight to celebrate the opening of her new office."

"Oh." That's all she said first.

I glanced over to see her ball her fists.

I almost fliched when I heard her take a sharp inhale. "Right. You are friends. You should go. Should I give you a ride?" She almost grunted.

At first, I thought she was being sarcastic, but she wasn't.

"N– no! That's okay. I can manage that." I responded, slightly surprised. I thought she was going to throw a fit about it. How come she relented this easily?

Y/N nodded. "Call me if you have trouble coming back. And take care."

I just nodded.

"You may leave."

I nodded again before walking out. It felt like both of us had so much to talk to. But I don't think Y/N is ready to let things inside her out, and I am not ready to listen to her. Just as I got out of her room, I came across Mina, who rolled her eyes as soon as she saw me. I moved out of the way for her to enter, slightly bowing. She disappeared behind Y/N's door, eyeing me like a pest.

I sighed, shaking my head as I went to my desk.

Since Y/N's schedule was done for the day, I just organized some things, went through the next day's schedule, and left a few reports at her table to review before wrapping up.

"Hey, Lisa!" Jisoo Unnie greeted me along with Jennie as I got inside the club, where Rosie was holding the party.

"Hi, Unnie." I smiled at her awkwardly.
