"Are you happy to be back home?" Caroline questioned her best friend as they pulled into the Stilinski drive way, a small smile spread across her face.

"No, are you sure we even need to go back to school?" Skylar groaned, the mere thought of going back to school after the past few weeks was literally hell. She spent the majority of the school holidays with Caroline and her sister in their family lake house just outside of California, she was pretty hesitant to join them at first. Being in a relationship with Lydia, and spending time with a woman she had slept with a good few times, didn't exactly seem like the best idea. Of course her girlfriend was quick to disagree, she trusted the brunette more than anything and practically forced her to take some time out from being some sort of supernatural hero.

The blonde mimicked the groan that fell from Skylar's lips, she too wasn't ready to start back at school. It seemed like the holidays had just breezed by, one minute they were packing and heading to the lake house, the next minute they had to return home with only a few days left of their holidays.

"We can always go again next year, omg we could make it our annual thing. Maybe invite the others too." Caroline grinned thinking about inviting the others, it would definitely be an amazing holiday with all of their friends there, away from all the supernatural drama.

"I still can't get over the fact that you slept with that guy, even Peyton was shocked. I mean we were rooting for you, but my god. You're like a little sex fiend now." Skylar couldn't help but laugh at the memory that flashed through her mind, the blonde making her way through the door spilling every single detail about the night she lost her virginity.

A phone ringing caught both the teen's attention, the two peered at the dashboard watching as Lydia's name flashed on the screen. Caroline glanced at her friend cautiously, as if she was awaiting her confirmation to answer the phone and she grinned in response when the brunette nodded.

"Hey, you. Are you ready for me to pick you up?" Lydia's soft voice spoke through the speaker as she awaited an answer from the blonde, and it was still such a surprise to Skylar how well the two had got on.

"I'm just in the car with Sky dropping her home, then–"

"You know, I'm loving the fact that my two favourite girls are now friends. It's been a long time coming." Skylar interrupted the blonde before she could even finish her sentence, she was too busy grinning from ear to ear at the fact that they were finally getting along. She had been waiting patiently for this to happen, she knew her girlfriend needed a friend like Caroline. As much as she liked Allison from time to time, she wasn't always a good friend to Lydia.

"I only have myself to blame for that, I was slightly jealous for a little while." Lydia mumbled from the other side of the speaker, she was still slightly embarrassed that she felt so much anger and jealousy towards the blonde when she's always been nothing but an amazing friend to her girlfriend.
